Everyone should be listing what upgrades they did to their vehicle so it's easier to reference.
kacyk - I know you had 20's on your pewter H2 but are the tires 35's or 37's?
H24U - Same question - 35's or 37's? They look like 22's.

The tires on the 20's were 35's.

Yeah Ken, I lust after your ride. I actually called LPE and their direct quote to me was "we don't touch California vehicles." LOL Too bad for me.
It's ironic that you have "Bling" rims that really aren't very "blingy" at all.
What did LPE quote you HP wise? Do they have a 4 wheel dyno there?

I may have to do another H2 SUT for now but I love the F-650's. I have looked into building one for my race circuit. They are real slick and big plus street legal too, unlike my H2's which are always subject to tickets.
If you ever really want one, let me know---CAN DO and a bit less expensive than the F-650 Guy.

As much as I would love one I just couldn't, I don't even know where I would park the thing. My driveway isn't nearly that big lol, but boy are they awesome. I think they run 100k plus though don't they. The thing is just unreal. There is a local farmer around here that has one that i've been able to ride in. I'll tell you what the thing is very impressive.
By the way the CXT isn't bad either.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y187/MovinC5/CXT-2.gif
I like the CTX better but can build an F-650 for about 25K less. I have not fiqured out which one I want but since I do not have the extra cash right now, the decision will have to wait.
Las Vegas has a fair amount of the CTXs and I will be there again soon. They always put them out front of the casinos when they are around. I lean towards the CTX.

Make sure to post some pic's if you get a chance. The CTX is very nice.
No problem with the pics of the CTX when I get them.
I have a racing buddy that sells them--will still cost me 105K tricked out--better than the advertised price for sure but it is a high priced toy for me right now.
I can write it off to one of my companies but still---I will wait a while.

That's a great price. I looked at them and the best I found was 115k, You can get them with TV's,DVD's,XBOX's,Sound Systems the whole nine yards. Pretty bad ass machine.

Alright, enough goofing around.;) How'd you fir those 38's under there? Do you ever take it offroad and if so, where does most of the rub occur?
Hammer
07-08-2006, 06:12 AM
It used to rub heavily to the front sway bar plus some serious rubbing to the frame... There was no other choise then put some right sized spacers behind the wheel or buy different rims
I have only once taken it off road with these tires and no rubbing. These tires will rub slightly to the fender when hard offroading, but not as bad as it used to... My mechanic needed to remodel both fenders to make these tires roll decently. Rubbing is not really an issue because I´m not going drive it off road much.
No more "shiny spots"
emeldahay
07-08-2006, 10:14 AM
That a lovely rig there.
The spacers make the wheels stick out more and that helps reduce rub inside? (excuse my ignorance) :D I take it the body work gets well covered in spray with them sticking out past the wheel arches ?
Also to get those tyres fitted without mods would a 4inch lift kit do the job or would you need more?
Cheers

I know... 38" will rub. even stock tires will rub if running them to limits...
I would go with fabtech 6" lift but it is not going to fit in to my carage after that.It won?t fit in even when the rear air suspension is activated. My carage door is currently looking like **** damn roof rack bars wanted to take th e door with them,no damage to the hummer :)... I have been looking for full air suspension lift or something that I could control ride height... but wheel aligment is going to be issue.
Btw. anyone knows where to get stronger rear air suspension sensor arms or do I have to make my own? Stock ones really sucks even the 06 ones...

Yep, It's Red Metallic, Unless it was CUSTOM painted, Burgandy isn't a color option for the 2004 Hummer H2:)

Thanks HummBob...I know burgundy wasn't the "technical" term for the color. I just never knew what to call it. I'm sure I gave my gender away..no guy would have ever dubbed it "burgundy" :D Thanks again for the info

Is that the entrance to NAS Kingsville?
BTW The wheel on the curb pic is perfect fodder for those that think that's all an H2 can do ;)
No, Its near the Texas City Dike, in Texas City, Tx
Indeed.....some are so closed minded when it comes to the Hummer.

Why would you supercharge a Hummer? Its a hummer not meant for speed but rather to been seen and heard. Not that a supercharged hummer wouldn't be nice.....but still??

There isn't one really, most people are quite happy to let others do whatever they want to their rig. But now you bring it up... ;) :D
The H2 would most probably not be so derided in off-road circles if there weren't so many blinged out, Pimp My Ride, mall cruisers around ;)
Each to their own I guess, but blinging out a Hummer is like putting a lift and 40" MT's on an Escalade, kind of contradictory to the whole essence of the vehicle. Sure you can do it, but just because you can, doesn't mean you should :D
Yeah, I hear you there.....there are some hummer owners that believe that a hummer should be lowered, lambo doors and with spin-ers. That's not a Hummer!! I think a hummer should be mean, but also have a bit of class........The H1 is and we always be the true HUMMER......we are all just living in its shadow...but at least we are doing it in style. :)

Ok, there are some out there that might go a bit over the deep end....but I don't think anyone in here is like that....Or Are They??
Why would you supercharge a Hummer? Its a hummer not meant for speed but rather to been seen and heard. Not that a supercharged hummer wouldn't be nice.....but still??Excuse me? It can be fun on the streets and sometimes people wheel their SC'ed trucks like we did.
Our first one was quite capable.
