Is it worth getting it? Obiouvsly for looks.

My concern is I pay 100+ for a set and they end up coming off. After all the handles are a high traffic area from opening and closing doors.

I did place the order for the locking gas cap already! I think this is a must! Dont want you gas stolen.

thanks for any input!

We don't sell them because we know they wont last very long. But, since they're a heck of a lot cheaper than solid billet, you could buy 4 sets and still save money...

Thats what I figured... I'll skip on the handle covers...

There is a one way valve in place so this cannot happen.
It makes more sence to shield your fuel tank in titanium.

I bought the handle covers a couple of weeks ago and installed them. I wasn't sure if I wanted that much chrome on the truck so I thought it would be a cheap alternative to the solid one's in case I didn't like them. They look good and so far are holding up well. Each one is two pieces. The larger piece snaps on well but the small piece will fall off if not secured in some way ( I used epoxy). For 100 bucks their nice and look good, if they tarnish or chip, I'll just trash them.

Don't agree, locking gas cap in chrome or black looks better than the cheap black (garbage can quality) thing surrounding the gas cap. An it keeps rookie wannabe thiefs from messing around with the gas cap.

It's not likely someone will take your gas.. esp. with that check valve in place. Good point PARTSGUY! But on the flip side, I am fan of the locking fuel doors. They hide the cheap plastic, but they also keep your cap locked away so A-holes cannot put anything in your tank!

Completely agree. If they'll key the side for no reason they will also put sh** in the tank just to be a**holes.

I intsalled the locking gas cap just for looks. they should have one standard. that black plastic housing is so cheap looking. But i guess thats what accessories are for!

I'm using the RealWheels locking chrome gas cap cover. Works fine, looks good and I easily installed it myself. Based on what's posted on the forum, the OEM Hummer locking cap looks more difficult to install.

I agree (unless you have the Kent Moore tool; which by the way, doesn't work worth a dang http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif).
