Here's a couple of pics for you all. Bumper is off because were putting together a hidden winch system for GM.

Another angle.
I love it. It really changes the look of the H2.

I really like that look (black grille) - Did you powder coat your original grille or is this a purchased 2004 color grille?
I have a white/black beast - this look would be plus on my color concept - can you provide any information (purchase - cost - dealer or vendor)
Thanks

Looks good DRTY,
You ever thought of pewtering out the Hummer letters?
BTW, I'd go with the 1 1/2" if you already haven't done it. 1 1/4" might look too dainty on such a big rig.

That is 100x better than chrome in my book anyday. Did you get that granite side dent taken care of while you are at it?

Yep. New door. For any of you that are thinking about a new door in the future- it'll set you back $1750 including paint and everything. Not too bad. Plus they buffed out all of my other scratches. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

$1,750 for a new door installed and they wanted to charge that poor guy $1,000 for a ****ty plastic overhead console!?!? I need to get into the plastic business...

Heres an idea for the mullet heads at GM. If you buy an adventure package the vehicle should come with a black grill to match the mirrors and door handles. If you buy a lux package that should come with a chrome grill to match the mirrors and door handles on that vehicle.

I agree 100% with Spike. If GM really thought about it, this would make more sense for their sales as well. Lower the price a little on the base and adventure packages, then keep the lux package the same. You want no chrome: base model or adventure package. You want chrome: Lux package. Simple, right? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Drtyfn, looks good.
What does the hidden winch look like? I am very interested to see it.
I think GM should develope a limited edition off-road package.
37" tires
hidden winch
front locker
custom rocker panel guards
beefed up tie-rods, pit arm, and idoler arm
Coils in the rear
NO CHROME
Custom shocks
etc.....

As soon as it's done and submitted to Gm I'll post some pics. Warn is working on a bumper, too, and I don't want those guys trying to steal our design. I can tell you it has a MileMarker 12000lbs winch in it and it looks awesome. Sorry to be a tease about it.
As a personal project I'm working on rocker bar spacers. I'm bringing them out 2 1/2". You can't just slap something in there, either. On the driver's side they need to have a space to accomodate the parking brake cable.

Is the Mile Marker Hydrolic (sp)?? If so did you upgrade the stearing pump?
Thanks,

Hey DRTYFN
First of all I must tell you how much I laugh at your posting (especially with JeepChick)you should do a standupin Las Vegas.
Secondly, do you have the part number for the Black Grill and where did you purchase it (from dealer or GMParts)and is there a number for after market vendor
Thanks for the information and I shall remain in the background and read your humor

Sorry, don't have a part number for you because I just took a stock one and had it scuffed and painted.
There is a painted black grill available from GM, but it's glossy to match the painted finish of the H2.

Hvy,
I thought about that being a possibility before doing it, but it turned out pretty damn nice. Plus, I'm not a fan of chrome.

Yep, can't argue against that. Too much chrome definitely reeks, especially the big pie plate rims.
Thanks DRTYFN for being so gentle and courteous to a newbie. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I've seen your other posts. I wasn't trying to poke fun or being sarcastic, by the way. You guys are cool.

Both me and my wife fell in love with Pewter Hummers, so that is the color of choice for our future Hummer to replace our Jeep Grand.
Therefore, our interest in your mods and this thread.
Thanx for the welcome!
