Got my Birch White H3 (LUX) on 11/3/05 after waiting since the order date on 8/4/05. So far, my girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoy the vehicle. Minor problem - shortly after receiving the vehicle, I noticed it drifts slightly to the right. Took it in to the dealership and they informed me they did a minor re-alignment, which they said fixed the problem. To me, it still drifts slightly right. Is anyone else having or was having the same problem. If fixed, what was done.

Mine drifts but the steering wheel is crooked so I need to get it fixed. Check and make sure your tire pressue is the same amount for the two front tires.

If so and steering wheel is straight tell them to do it again.

Mine does the exact same thing. It drifts slightly to the right and my steering wheel is off-center. I guess I will need to get it re-allingned as well.

Even the demo I drove for a day pulled to the right and had an off-center steering wheel.

All roads are supposed to have a slight drop to one side or the other. On a two-lane higway, usually to the right, on a four-lane the right lane will dip to the right, the left will dip to the right or left. This is to allow water run off, and is called the crown.
Some will dip more than others, and some will not even dip at all, since the road crew didn't know what they were doing. Some, like in this state, provide for water runoff through giant holes in the pavement, with giant cracks that drain the water into the holes. The holes are deep enough so that it is bare dirt where the hole is, thus allowing the water to be absorbed naturally by the dirt in the bottom of the giant hole.
Move to MI, and you never have to worry about an alignment. If you hit the giant hole on the right of the tire, just make sure to hit the left side the next time you drive that road. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The first week i had my H3 i noticed the same problem but i thought it was just in my head, anyway it had about 100 or so miles on it and i ended up taking it in and they did the adjustment (it was pulling to the right) I thought it was the roads also until i took it on the freeway and if i let go of the wheel it would shoot of into the median....I now have about 4000 miles since the adjustment and it has been perfect since. good luck

After reading this thread I went and inspected my steering wheel. It to is turned slightly to the left but there is no noticeable pull or drift to the left or right while driving http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif. I wonder if this is something common on all H3's?

Supposed to be set at the end of the line when built, and again during pre-delivery inspection by the dealer.

Ya'll need to check the "Technical Issues" forum at Coloradofans.com if you want some insight on the GMT355 problems. The "alignment" problem is well documented, as well as some issues with the I5. The Colorado/Canyon has been around since '04 and I see some H3 owners here are reporting similar issues that are/were experienced on the original GMT355s. The Colorado/Canyon have a bit more "history" than the H3, so you may get some useful info from browsing the GMT355 siblings. Cheers.
