Would appreciate help/input on 37" MTRs that only have 1/4" thread left:
1. Can I safely drive 80mph highways?
2. Can I safely off-road aired down to 20psi?
3. How fast would 1/4" wear until they're no longer safe?
4. I know y'all won't, but say you do, how much would you pay for a set of 4?

Brand new they are 5/8", so you are looking at around 40% wear left(if I am thinking correctly).
I'll try to find the digital camera and snap some pics of my new, 0 miles, MT/Rs.

Isn't 80 too scary for the (barf) princess?

"No, I'm not driving too fast. I'm just following the traffic!" http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Oh Paragon, why didn't you buy two sets when you could, and sell me one??... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
So, it's safe enough? 3,000 miles ok? $150 for all 4?

Considering I got mine at cost plus tax and shipping at $185 per, my opinion would be $150 for 4 is a good deal.
I think these tires can get around 30,000 miles if taken care of, I know they do in other sizes. So 3,000 miles would be 10% leaving you at 30% tread and that would still be acceptable, to me.

Those tires look really bad I would run my stock A/T before I ran those bald MT/R.

Justin, I love my stock. It's the 37" that is the magic number. My H2 has no air suspension, so sits really close to ground. I pity my exhaust system. It's crumpled but still working right now, but another hard hit and my exhaust will be gone -- and that's $700 ca-ching bye-bye!! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
Paragon, thanks for your opinion. First the beautiful pics, then the 1/2 price. So go ahead, continue to rub it in -- how much did you pay for shipping again? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
In any case, I actually got the tires for $25.. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. Shipping is $125 http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif. Will use these for "practice", and considering the Iroks for long term (brand new) ownership.
1/4" Thread?? This thread looks safe...
