Has anyone one thought about doing something like this? I found a scource for the OEM parts. It will cost about $160.

A couple of people on the board have done this. But they didn't put the middle markers in there. Dive in.

looks a little crowded for me....but then again you should do things to your truck according to what you want and like and not what other thinks 'bout it http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I think I will do it. Like Westhill said "It will be unique"
Does anybody have the installation instructions for the marker lights, so I know how to wire them in. I know that they do not use a seperate switch, like the off road lights. They come on with the other marker lights.

WPB, I would also be very interested in doing this. Please let me know if you order the parts. Maybe we could just double the order.

I am still waiting on a response from the company.
I think the center lights are different from the end lights.
I need to be sure what I need before I place the order.
I am aslo trying to find a copy of the marker light inst. so I know how to wire them in.
I like it without the center lights. Who are you going to get to install it. It seems like it would be a pain in the butt to get that installed.

Hey wpbguy, what did you find out about the available parts? did you do it? I think I will add just the two on the corners if I can buy just them.

I have not ordered the parts yet. The lights are $40 each. They are different (Left, Right, Center).
See the above link. I may just do the corners too. I don't really want to mess with that light bar any more. It is too much a pain in the a...!

OK, I just finally sat down to order the 2 corner lights. Now when I click on the link, is says product not found. WPBGUY, where did you find the link? Or anyone else know where I can get just the corner ones. Thanks.

I ordered them two weeks ago. They sent me an email that they are backorderd indefinately. I don't plan on seeing them anytime soon. I am putting the corners on also, along with my XTC light bar.

I don't think I will do it. Every vehicle that I have seen with marker lights, all have 5, usually two on the end and 3 in the middle. I dont think I can fit three in the center.

I was just going to do the corners only and nothing in the middle

Just finished installing the corner lights with the XTC lightbar. It looks awsome, but it was a pain in the ass. Did I mention GM is a bunch of friggen crooks. $45.00 a piece for the lights, and they do not give you the outlet, the lights, or the screws. I pieced everything together from Pep Boys, and it worked pretty well. I would definately recommend putting the corners on with the off road bar.

Thanks! I bought the lights from autowebaccessories about a month ago, and they just came in. I don't think they even list them anymore. Check with the dealers. I called around and found 2 left side lights at various dealers, but figured I would just wait out the backorder. THe XTC bar was fairly simple, except that the instructions sucked, and getting the wires past the firewall was challenging. If you decide to mount it, drop me an email, and I will fill you in on the install.

how was the install on the rear lights guard ? They look like the Manik ones I just ordered, i'll gladly take any installation tips you can offer http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif (i.e. tail lights removal)....
Thanks!

Installation was a piece of cake. Remove the inside screws(2), and pull the light straight out. Mount the guard with the existing hardware, and re-install. One note of caution, make sure you adjust the guard before closing the tailgate, or it might make contact with it. When you get them you will see the bottom screw has play, so push the light guard away from the gate, and tighten. Once you do this, you can tweak it to make the space even. It will be clear as mud when you get them!!

Got an email today telling me the lights, which were on backorder indefinetly, shipped today. I should have them next week if they really did ship. Pictures to follow, if they come http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

If you would, can you let me know what outlet you use. The ones I found at Pep Boys were to long, and had to be cut down. I would prefer a low profile one that did not need to be cut. Thanks!!
