I have been looking to purchase two (2) H-3's but before I drop $60000 to $70000 I NEED ALL the answers.
Have been in contact directly with GM on questions but they are very slow and not helpful, BUT they have lots of excuses for not answering me...
First, PRICING. As I read, it seems I should be able to pickup the H-3's at $500.00USD over FACTORY INVOICE plus tax, title & tag??
Have been to a few dealerships and see on their contracts things like ADM (additional dealer markup) & handling or other dealer charges. How did you all handle them without telling the dealer to take a long walk off a short pier?
Big question? I want the Leather POWER SEATS without the lux pak Has anyone ordered it that way or attemped to order it and if yes, HOW MUCH $$$ ?
Another question. Haven't SEEN EVEN ONE H-3 with Black Flat Running Boards (factory) but have seen lots with tube both black and chrome.
Are the FLAT BLACK as strong as the tube, etc etc?
Have many more questions but out of time now...
Thanks,

Power seats can only be on Luxury Package vehicles. The seat architecture will not permit the power seat components in the cloth seats.
The flat black steps are plenty strong, we have them on some of our trucks. A lot of people like them better because there are drainage holes in them for rainy days and whatnot.
PM me with any other questions, I'll be happy to help.

It depends on what you mean by "strong." If you are considering doing any off-roading a good rock hit on either type of side-step can bend the hell out of them and possibly do some expensive body damage to the rig. The better option in that case is to go with the rocker bars and the removal steps.
On the other hand if you are just talking about whether the nerf-bars can hold up to people using them to get into the rig, then both are plenty strong.

I have the flat steps and like them. Drain holes on them and a flatter, wider step in my opinion, plus a cleaner line with the body IMHO.
As far as how strong they are, they hold me without a problem. Think that a hard blow to these or the tubes would dent either equally.
I took them off this weekend to go a Hummer Happening - 8 bolts on each side. Took about 15 minutes to take off and 15 minutes to put back on, both times by myself. Very easy to do.
