This bench was purchased from a forum member who owns a H1. Previously I had a JAT design 3rd row bench but it faced forward only and it was huge, causing visibility issues. I wanted a smaller bench that faces backwards so the kids could access it through the back door. The install today was $300.00 from a local auto upholstery shop.

Just as an FYI, apparently a similar bench can be had that is normally installed in Jeep's. I know, not within the Hummer DNA but it does allow for a rear facing option. Also, the seat tumbles forward and is completely removable (brackets stay)

IMHO - After having both this seat and the JAT seat, the current bench is far cheaper and allows more cargo area and access is easier.

Lots of cargo area due to the size of the bench and it faces backwards.

With three kids - Hummer now seats 8 persons. Two adults are "okay" back there for short trips.

Looks great Kacyk! Cute kids! Can you post a pic of the seat tumbled forward? How easy is it to remove the brackets that attach the seat to the floor?

I also noticed you have a reverse sensor on the bumper. How do you like it?

Hey Doc, I'll post pics of that as well. I haven't tried to take the brackets off but I'll let you know. I believe the new model Jeep jump seats have even better and easier brackets. The guys at Superior Auto Trim in Bellevue were fantastic!

As for the reverse sensors, I think they are great. I also bought a set for my Yukon XL. After backing my Tundra into a tree I thought I might need the extra set of eyes!

Where did you buy the sensors from? what brand?

I highly recommend buying them from a local Car Toys or wherever and getting them installed at the same place. The H2's works well but the set on my Yukon goes off every time a spec of dust gets into the sensors. Although Car Toys did the install, since I got the units online they won't warranty their work.

I still recommend them but just not through the internet.
