Hello every one, I know this has been discussed before, but I'm trying to get my dealer to do the latest upgrade on my 2003 h2 computer and they seem hesitant to do so http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif Have any one done it on a 2003? And if you have, have it worked better for you? Any improvements on performance? Please let me know. Thanks

I had it done on my 03 at Cerritos Hummer in So Cal. I read on a thread somewhere here that it would solve the problem of the cruise control causing the engine to rev way up to 5000 RPM or more on mild up hill grades. Well, it didn’t solve the issue and I haven’t noticed any change at all.
It seems strange that your dealer would be hesitant based on the fact that Cerritos told me it was a normal part of the Throttle Body and Emissions service.

Tell your dealership you notice a clunk from under the vehicle as the truck is downshifting while slowing to a stop. Then tell them you heard there is an updated calibration to fix this. When they reprogram it, you'll get the most updated calibration.
Mine has been tweeked several times, each time the throttle body assembly failed, with the klunk issues, power seat control issues, etc.
Some things were fixed, others not.

Well, I got the new software on my H2 http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif and it seems to work great, I have seen an improvement of 2.7 MPG on the interstate at 70 MPH for a total of 15.8 avg/MPG and on the city it gain 2.1 MPG to a 12.2 avg/MPG http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif I'm happy with this improvement and now I'm adding an AIRAID intake system which they claim will improve performance http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif I will post the results after I have installed it. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Another programming upgrade you can get that I would suggest is for the radio. You can have it updated to correct problems of cd's not ejecting and to correct other problems also. While they are doing it they can make a selection so the "ding" you hear when you have your key in the ignition isn't so damn loud. I hate that.
