Looks like a nice unit but why when you can buy factory TNR for about the same money?

I looked into it but decided to go factory instead. However, I will admit that the Fujitsu unit has better features like the ability to play CD's and run the Nav disc at the same time.

Neverthless, the factory unit retains the steering wheel controls without added expense.

My Father has the Eclipse in his Lincoln. I have checked it out and it is very nice. The only thing I didn't like is when you look up a POI it doesn't list the tell#
So if you are looking to make reservations for a Hotel or Dinner you would have to call information!

I have that deck in my H2. It looks and sounds awesome. It's real easy to use and has a great picture. It's better than the factory navigation unit because it has DVD and is touch screen. The mod to use steering wheel controls is only like $50. It is a great product.

I have the Eclispe AVN2454, and it's amazing.
I find the NAV fuctions easy to use(touchscreen), and this model DOES list phone numbers for POI.
The main reason I went with this unit over factory was the ability to play an MP3 or CD while the NAV is on and the DVD player function.
The DVD works nicely as well. The quality of the picture(head unit screen, 2 Vizualogic headrests and a Vizualogic passenger visor) on all of my screens is outstanding.
With the remote, and steering wheel control(minimal extra), the ease and QUALITY of use is phenominal.

The new version will allow you to still use your steering wheel controls. For the money it is far better then the limited factory nav.

My question would be, How does it affect the OnStar, and onboard Phone? I thought the radio and OnStar/Phone were "ran through" the radio. Just curious, I like the Eclipse look and lines, looks factory.

I looked at many of the aftermarket units. None looked as good as the factory Delphi NAV. Plus I didn't like what they all said about the steering wheel controls, onstar, etc. At best they said we "might" be able to make them work but no guarantees. Plus, their price including install was a great deal more than the factory installed by me. So I went with the Factory touch screen Nav, XM tuner & 6 CD changer under the rear seat. Everything works perfectly including all SW controls & onstar. And it sounds very good. This is my recommendation.

Didn't like the AVN2454 but loved the AVN5435. Basically the same unit but the 5435 has 5 volt output and I need that to get the most out of my amps.
