Hey all,

Looking into purchasing a 2006 H2. Lux package, all options, black/ebony.

Anything I should look out for in these cars?

Also, who is a reliable tuner for these cars? I'm not currently looking for superchargers, but instead ECU, Intake, etc.

Air suspension and sunroof are great options. See if you can get your dealer to make a good deal right now on any modifications ... my 2 cents. Bought mine in July, no problems and love it. Black Lux with Air suspension, sunroof, nav, corsa exhaust and bits of chrome. Oh I also bought the extended warranty.

The 4 year / 50k warranty should be fine for me. Sunroof, Air suspension, etc. all is in the package. I believe the final price of the options I picked was 66k and change.

Also, do the dealer's mind the supercharger?

Not if he is going to supercharge...

Supercharging voids the factory warranty but if you have the dealer install a Magna then you get Magna's 3yr powertrain warranty.

No they don't mind so long as they have done the install. Don't do it yourself or have some other shop do it then bring it to them with a problem and expect them to fix it for free. If in the case of someone else having done the SC they will work on the truck but if whatever is wrong can be traced to the SC or the install they'll simply pull the SC off and send the entire unit to Magna. You'll be without your rig for weeks. Basically if the dealership does the install they will stand behind just about anything that might go wrong with the truck.

Before wrapping up your deal I would:

Check every button to make sure it works...every single button

Open and close all doors, listen for rattles

Listen for any rattles while on your test drives.
The dealer will be very quick about fixing anything broken if the deal is on the line. Plus you will be happier if you're not heading back to the dealer 2 weeks after you buy it.

Consider the rear dvd system

Consider an Audio system upgrade

Front window tint

Have GOBI rack installed. If you go with the Stealth rack have all GOBI options installed at this time as well.
If you intend to take it offroad, get this stuff done right away. This will free up your weekends for wheelin' instead of installing.

Have the CB installed

Have Toyo MTs installed

Have Winch installed

Any front or rear cams installed

Wrap around brush guard. This really helps keep scratches off the front of the rig

Buy the Magnetic Skins
Measure your garage opening. Expand garage door opening as appropriate

That's my .02
