I currently have the Pioneer AVH-P5700DVD installed but bought a KENWOOD DDX7017, 'coz 'm gettin' tired of waiting for the screen to flip-up http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif anyway my question is have u used a dash kit that would accomodate it without modifications ? BTW u probably know this already but if it helps in any way, the unit comes with it's own trim...

That new Scosche kit, the GM1595B, should do the trick nicely. I am aware that the 7017 has its own trim ring, but it is high gloss black and I think that makes it stick out a little. The kit will come with mounting brackets and a trim ring; you could try both rings and see which you prefer.

I searched around for the kit u posted but coudn't find it..anyway you mentioned the A.I. GMK422 kit on a separate post, how did the kit holes line up with the screw mounts ?

Also need your professional opinion..'m not having any problems w/ the Pioneer 5700 (i've only used it for less than couple weeks http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif) at all except for the wait for the screen to flip-up and the better look of a double DIN screen..so is it worth switching to the Kenwood 7017...

Thanks !

The 7017 is definitely a nicer piece, but doesn't have too many more features than the Pioneer does. The 7017 imho has a better looking screen. Is nav a feature you might ever want?
