Finally have just about reached my goal on "blacking out" my truck. This picture was taken in the rain. When I get a sunny day and a chance to clean her up, I will post a few more.

Hey looks great. you should "smoke" out the lights it would look even better. the tail red orange and white stand out alot "smoken" would do the trick.

Round numbers.....and rember that I did most of this myself (some painting and all installing), so I have put everything from the prepainted grill to sandpaper into the figure. I have several parts that I could sell on ebay that I have not in order to recoup some of the investment.

It all looks good except for the spare. No center cap?
Are you putting lights on the grill guard, if so those blacked out Hella's would be neat.

Yes, I have the centercap, wanted to order an extra before I went sanding down one that went with my set of four rims. Found one on ebay for cheap, aout 18 bucks shipped.
The bolts on the spare carrier are too long to allow for it to be put on. When the truck comes back from the body shop I am going to cut the bolts off so the centercap will cover the mounting.
Yeah, it looks like ass without it.
I have not had a need for extra lighting, so I dont think I will be putting them on.

What did it end up costing you for the powder coating and where did you end up getting it done?

Hi FrgMstr,
I'm thinking of getting the same tire carrier but don't like the chrome handle... How did you "fix" it? If painted, what prep procedure was used?
Thanks,
MarkW
