Well I love my 2003 H2 but I cant stand that you have to hold the button for the sun roof to go back and forth. Is there a button that I can buy and change out to make it one touch. Like in the Mercedes and Lexus. If not is it avaible in the H2 04 or 05. Thanks to all who reply..

This has been discussed previously with no luck. If memory serves, someone even checked at the dealer about converting the sunroof to one-touch but with no luck. If you or anybody else comes up with a solution please post, as I'm sure a lot of us would be interested. BTW, Welcome to the forum!

Another oddity which has also been discussed is that if you hold the button down until the sun roof stops, it is not fully opened. You need to press and hold two more times before it is opened all the way. Oddly, you can close it with one press and hold. Go figure...

I agree, it's a pain. It's not a short reach either. The back window on the SUT is one touch up and down which to me is silly. You have to be quick with the button to put it part way down. The window is fast. Now why couldn't they put that on the sunroof?? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
My wife's Ford does the same thing - not opening all the way. You have to hit it again to get it to fully open. At least it has the one touch open...

I believe the reason it does not open all the way is because of the popping you get from air passing at highway speeds. Most people probably would complain about the noise and not figure out to close the sunroof a little bit.

May help: try hiting the middle button first and then the left button to open. Works everytime on mine.

GEt a Clifford Smart Windows 5 module. Install it in the sunroof switch console and program it for the proper open/close duration of the sunroof and it works like a champ (does stop about 1/2" short of full open every once in a while but no biggie).
