Well, it's been quite a salty winter, and it looks like we didn't wash the car quite enough! The alloy rims have corrosion all along the exterior, next to the tire, and the fuel filler door is rusting as well(a problem on my H2, which also has rusted rims and chrome, and is out of warranty). Has anyone else noticed these evils of winter?

Just spray them with WD-40 in the fall inside & out. They will look like hell all winter, however they will not oxydize and will look great in the spring.

We had a tough winter in chicago as well. I ran it through a brushless car wash every saturday and also did the undercariage spray. When I hand washed the H3 in the driveway yesterday everything looks like new again! The wheels show no sign of corrosion. And let me tell you, they LOVE dumping TONS of salt on chicago expressways!!
