View Full Version : Flat Vs Tubular Assist Steps....few questions
I have had the Tubular bars on previous trucks and have had a few situations with either myself or friend slipping while washing, scrapping a shin, when loading the roof etc. So I have been thinking about doing flats this time around. Can anyone with them reply with your pros or cons of them Vs the normal tubular or nerfs? Glad you got, like / don't like,,,any comments good or bad would be appreciated as well as any pix of your H3 you could post or link. Haven't seen that many with them so far

One trick I have used in the past was to Rhino-liner the steps!
It provides a great amount of grip in wet and muddy situations. It can also be color matched depending on how much you want to spend and what color you want to go with.

Have two H-3's, both with FACTORY FLAT BLACK STEPS.
As far as I'm concerned they are the best. First off from front to back its all step, not just a section. Second I'm not into chrome sooo!
Third there are easy to wash and keep clean. Forth, like you said they are unique, most people don't have them. Fifth they seem very strong (I'm 210 lbs)
BUT
Remember off road remove ALL steps (chrome, black, flat, round)
Am out of town now but as soon as I get back will send PIX of both H-3's showing steps...
