Snorkels

What is the deal with Jeeps with snorkles lately? I was out running around today and in the three hours I was out I saw three Jeeps with snorkles. Two of them were even running street tires http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif I know that I have seen a lot more with them lately. Is this all of the sudden the in thing for Jeepers?

On a side note, had to stop by the Porsche dealer and they had a Carrera GT on the showroom floor. Holy Sh!t what a hot looking car, but damn, for $400K+ it better be.
