Herez the $51,000 question?
How reliable is this thing? Does any one know the reliability history of this engine and transmission? Since this engine is being used by other trucks in the market for a while.

H2_GUY:
I've owned Chevrolet and GMC products powered by V8s and they've been very durable. My GMC had the 5300 Vortec and it was bulletproof. Prior to that I had a 350 V8 powered Chevy with 260K on the engine with no signs of stopping. I change my own oil every 5K and follow the service interval for other items.

That sounds good, how about the electrics? I heard some people complain about electronics having some problem in rain? I just bought this H2 .... traded my Quest 2000 for it which was very reliable except for some minor electric problems with the Video playback system and cup holders braking … but the H2 dealers in NJ are not trustworthy ....he showed on paper.. that he will be paying 15K for my Van and in reality he only paid 10K for it ...which was way low but we already signed the paper for the hummer… had a big fight but since we liked the car we just went with it... how was your dealer experience... I felt like writing to GM or Hummer to tell them what this dealer is doing to sell there cars…
P.S. but this SUV is truly like nothing else… any ware we park there are people around it as if it was some sort of a abnormality among SUVs. even people who own expensive Imported SUVs stop and look…

H 2 GUY
I had 2 2000 HD 2500 4x4 x cab p/u 6 liter w/ 4sp auto and 3.73 gears.
I pulled a 14000# trailer w/ them.
The 6 liter motor is good pulling and over 5000rpm it is still pulling strong.
There is an entrance ramp onto I-71 that has a sharp turn at bottom of hill(20mph no run http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif)
it is fairly long grade and top it at 55mph+ http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.
If u get rpm up it really pulls but no match for my Duramax and allison.
