From the many aftermarket exhaust you can buy online, are they all simple bolt on installations? Many claim they can be done by the DIY person but I was told that not all kits fit like they claim and that I would have a hard time returning the product for warranty issues. He also told me that all exhaust systems need to be welded on and not just clamped.
Is there any truth to this?
I know what you guys are thinking and YES, I was told this by the guy at the exhaust shop.
He doesn't carry the brand I want but would install it for a fee.

I don't know if this has been asked b4.. can't find the answer..

I don't know if this has been asked b4.. can't find the answer.. The fact is, if you order the kit and take it to a reputable exhaust installer, you'll be ok. Sure, the shop will charge you a few extra bucks, but that goes with the territory.

It all just depends. Some kits are simple bolt on and do not require welding and the guy telling you that is problem not from a very modern shop.

Worst case scenario is that you get leaks and someone has to follow you up and weld it up after you put it on DYI. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
