Questions about planting tomatos

Need advice on what the best seeds are and when is the best time for planting. Looking at doing a more productive hobby than obsessing over the computer or lazying out in the hot tub.

Any pros here?

Don't bother with seeds. Go to Home Depot and buy some transplants. And buy some new gloves while you're there.
