I also went to Brasstown Bald georgia's highest mountain. There was a long paved road up to it.I had it in 2'nd and it would drop down to low at 3,000 rpm ,so I left it in low the way up. It was very steep.
No pics of the road:(
The ranger gave me GPS info to some local trails near Hiawassie(were I was staying)

side hill .At the top I shifted right from spinning front tires and backed up(steps were on) and it pulled my front plate off  and a few scuffs scars below the tow hooks:mad: .I bent the plate back and poped it back on at the end of the day.:D

I also found another rock.
A fun area to wheel but only seen quads.
I could have went crazy if steps(and licence plate Duh!) were removed.
Also another 4x4 or winch just incase
It had red Ga mud all over it.On the trip home several people said its the only dirty hummer they have seen.
It took 3 hours to get it clean in and out on sunday.

Looks like we need to plan a trip down to GA... anywhere near a place called "Rocktown"??
Little scrapes and scars are cool (souviners -sp?- as I like to call them) Its the big stuff that no one likes to see.
Yeah always remove your side steps, four bolts can save you alot of headaches. Also pop off those center caps- 10 secs can save some $$. Did you air your tires down?
Looks good. Hooked?

I was on a trip so I didnt remove the steps.I didnt have problems just a couple hills I backed off of.
I also was lazy and didnt air down.the first part of the trail was easy so I just went in.No problems with traction with 35lbs.(maybee a little when 2 front tires were on rocks but it did ok.I should have aired down I have the compressor hook up and airdown valves so It was stupid not to but I didnt get stuck.I always airdown at the beach.
Cool area to check out if your not to far. I dont know when I will get there again.:D

I was going to go to Tellico but this was very close to were I was staying.
I think Tellico was over a hour away Beasley Knob was 10 minutes.
The stream/ waterfall pics were 5 minutes away from Hiawassie they were on a light trail that was about 6 to 8 miles long very wide..
I noticed a small sign that said waterfall so I followed the trail.
I like ripping though water or mud.:D
