Hi guys,
I'm trying to decide what winch to put on this brushguard. I got the brushguard from sincity motorworks. It's a pre runner guard and has a plate that sits pretty high for the winch so it does not affect it's approach angle. what do u guys think? anyway, I'm thinking of getting a Mile Narker hydraulic winch. It's cheaper than electric and I've heard they are good anyway. What do u guys recomend?

I just posted this in the other thread but from what I have heard you should stay away from the hydraulic winches. I went with the 12K Mile Marker electric and am very happy with it.

I dont think you could run a hydro effectivley. The power steering pump on an H1 is about is big as they come, its a pump for a full size HD pickup. The MM hydro will eat those pumps up like they are nothing. I have a hydro on my truck along with inline filters and a custom powersteering system intended for competition rock crawlers/trucks with ram steering system. Needless to say the system i put in to handle the MM is as big as they come, I have not used the winch yet with it, but I feel that it as sufficant as it can be without going to a segregated powersteering system. On the H3 I do not think that the powersteering pump/system would be anywhere near heavy duty enough to use a MM hydro. Not only would you burn up pumps/gears it would also pull at a very slow rate, slower then it should.
