Transplanted trees don't grow well in droughted areas so constant watering is required.

Or maybe the roots won't take depending on how deep you dug the hole.

Go to Home Depot and get a few of them fertilizer spikes for the soil.

One for the tree and drive one into your forehead.

Hope that helps.:D

hey dennis thanx for all the advice . we did everything you suggested but had trouble with the last stake . we used a 10 lb sledge . sorry man forgot that weighs about 4 and a half kilos ???

my skulls just to thick , but you know that but Nav gave it her best , she wants to save her baby maple tree :o it was planted before we bought so not sure how the soil was prepared . probably just a bunch of rock down there :D

We did that once, but the ground is so rocky where we live that they won't dissolve into the soil. I put some in about 6 years ago. Then, a few weeks ago I dug out a small ditch around one of the trees to put in a tree well. I found one of the spikes. It was still like brand new!

I sort of crushed it with the shovel. But I suppose it could sell it as a scratch and dent item.

Remember, you are not in California anymore - Utah most likely has the real four seasons. Hopefully it will look great in the Spring :beerchug:

All the leaves fell off the Maple tree every fall at my parents place.
