Well, WE'RE BACK IN MOAB BITCHES!!!!!! Me and Beebs got to Neo's late last night, followed shortly by SR1355, and the mystery guest. ;)
Took it easy today, headed out to White Rim.
37907
It was me, Bebe, Neo, SR1355, H2 Rocks, AlecW, and the Mystery Machine. :giggling: Me, Neo, and SR1355 turned around and came back, the rest of them are camping tonight.
DemoDaddy came late and caught up to the group on the trail. And ICTH3 met us at Neo's when we got back.
And I still heart teh Moab!!! :D

Well I made it down to Moab for the beer and bbq Sunday night.:beerchug:
I started out on Klondike with Neo, Cris, Sr1355, and IctH3 Monday morning to find the front end of my truck snapping and grinding.
I ended up driving back to SLC, my dealer (Jerry Seiner) kicked ass to get the shredded prop shaft replaced for me. The prop shaft was probably already damaged before I made it to Moab, and once we headed out, I packed the joint with mud and only then discovered the boot was shredded.
I'm taking off again this morning to get back down there. :dancingbanana:

Yeah soo Lions Back is permanantly closed. :crying: I am so bummed right now. I feel like I have lost a buddy. I just got the new 4wheel and Off Road mag and there is a write up on it. They sold that property to a private owner, who does not want to deal with the liability, and might use the land to develop. I luckily had the chance to drive it once, but not in my Hummer. Thankfully the adjacent Hellsgate looks to remain unaffected by sales. You guys said nothing about this being permanent. This sucks.
Pics are great though. More please. :beerchug:

Real bummer about the Lions Back, if they were smart theyed charge a fee to let people run it.
Why not get a liability contract drawn up?

OK, not too many pics of this situation, but I'll try to explain. Made for a great Hummer Adventure!
These are WestHillSat, he & I & Neo got split off from the rear of the pack near the end of Hell's Revenge. Neo thought he knew where we were going, turns out he was wrong...(we'll leave it at that, he was a great host & nobody deserves any blame). We got down a hairy, rocky, really bad section, then ran into the end of the trail & realized there was no way out but to go back up it. We called the others for help, weren't sure if we could get back up! They had no idea where we were, I had to relay GPS coordinates so they could find us. Had to bust out my winch, find a boulder above to hook onto, get me up, then turn around & pull them up. Help arrived just as we finished extracting ourselves! My kids thought we were walking home, we all stayed calm & got ourselves out of a bad situation. :grouphug:

I agree, there should never be any blame or pointing fingers when the whole TEAM runs into a problem.
Its is this type of scenario when it should bring the team closer together. Each one of us own different skills and have followed different trails in our lives. This gives us all a better edge when pulling together to find solutions to get out of such a serous problem.
It also was also nice to read that others came to assist, see there is a real life Hummer family in all of us :grouphug:

Thought I'd drop a note and tell you all I made it home OK!
THANK YOU... THANK YOU... THANK YOU... I HAD A GREAT time!!:excited:
The Black Sheep Hummer Squadron is AWESOME!
I meet a lot of GREAT people and wheelers!
Tell everyone Colorado is a free car wash.. :) Didn't have any red dirt left after going through Co. :( Snowed 20 miles inside Co and didn't quit until Ks. Be careful going east on I70... BIG storm coming today and dumping 8 - 12 inches of snow and sleet in eastern Co. and western Ks. they are talking about they might have to close the road.:(
Have to unpack and get my dog out of jail (kennel).
Hope to post some pics but I don't think I can match any of the ones you have already posted! GREAT PICS!!!! :perfect10s:

Made it home safe this afternoon after a stop in South Tahoe last night. Won enough to cover my room and a nice dinner. :clapping:
Weather was crazy on the drive home. Hit snow flurries over several passes and a hail storm coming into Delta, UT.
It was great seeing the usual wheeling buddies again, meeting the H2 old timers (those that showed up ;) ), and meeting the newbie 3bies. :D The newbs represented well and it was a great group on and off the trail. I'm already looking forward to next time.

We made it home last night at 11:00.
What a great trip! I wouldn't call it a relaxing vacation, but it was a blast! :excited:
I didn't know what to expect when meeting a bunch of different people from the internet, and all over the country. I knew there was a large group that had all wheeled together before, and some new people that would be attending. I was amazed at how well everyone got along with each other.
My truck broke the first day and I had to run back to SL,UT to get it fixed, so I missed Hells Revenge  . It gives me a great reason to get back soon. I got the chance to run Sevenmile Rim, Flat Iron Mesa, Gemini Bridges, Long Canyon, and Cliff Hanger. Amazing trails and scenery! Pictures do not do it justice, those cliffs are hundreds of feet high and you can see for miles in the canyons. The trails are challenging and I don't think I would have run some of that if I didn't have experienced Moab wheelers like Neo, Sewie, and The Bully's along. Lonnie did a masterful job of guiding on Flat Iron! Watching that huge H2 get off camber (steep descent -pitching forward on one front wheel) on the Tilt A Whirl was incredible. Demo may not have run Moab in a H3 before, but he did a great job of spotting for everyone also (previous experience still counts). Moab trails are not for lightweights.
Neo and Nav were outstanding as hosts! Neo guided and spotted all day for over a week straight, then came home to guests, and bonfire parties. He and Nav must be exhausted.
I took over 300 pictures and will be posting some of them soon, today I'm back at work  .
It was great to meet everyone, and thank you, to so many cool people.

My family and I had a blast. If the world had more people like the ones I met on this trip, it would truly be a much better place to live. Awesome simply Awesome. :D
Thank you each and every one for a great trip!!!
Neo and Nav you guys a family now, like it or not.:D

To wives thanks for putting up with our crap, and letting us be Tarzan occasionally. :o

Those are indeed some great pics and videos. Neo and Nav...I think I already said thank you a couple of times in person...but thank you again for the hospitality. Alan, thanks for giving me somewhere to crash Sunday night...and for not making me roll all the way over on Golden Spike.
It was great to meet some new people and to see some old faces again. I was a great time all the way around. Thanks to everyone for letting me and my Xterra tag along. :) :D

Here's a shot I forgot to include, my boys spied a Pronghorn Antelope out on the plain from the top of Klondike Bluffs...I've trained 'em well....if only we had a rifle, that night's dinner would have been the BEST!:D

I will be out there one of these trips, possibly this fall if there is another trip.

Nice video.
What kind of camera mount were you using?
I made a mount to fit the roof-mounted OEM light bar, can see the monitor through the sunroof & hard-wired it in so I wouldn't have to worry about the batteries.
Sure f*cked with my CB though, think I had a little interference going & sounded like a duck!:jump:
