I didnt like them when I saw them in the magazines, but they look awesome mounted. Nice choice! How do they ride? Do you get flat spots in the morning when the tires sit cold all night? :perfect10s:
Hey Crash - those actually got really good reviews in sand and snow, hence the the name. I thought it was a gimmick myself until I read about them. :beerchug:

SOME PEOPLE LIKE FLAMES THAT CAN GRAPPLE DUNES.... SOME LIKE SKULL AND CROSSBONES THAT CAN CRUSH STUFF.4 THE DAY 2 DAY THE NITTO $331EACH IS PROBABLY A BETTER STREET TIRE.AND THE TREAD IS SICK IT GOES PRETTY FAR DOWN THE SIDEWALL.....THE DICK CEPEK $231EACH IS A BETTER CHOICE 4 OFFROADING.AND IT'S GOT A HELLA SICK BROKEN BONES TREAD..4 THE PRICE I WOULD NOT BURN MY CASH ON THE NITTO..I PAID $150EACH FOR 315/75/16 BFG A/T.(LUV UM!!)...PRICES MAY VARY..... HEY URBANOPS!!WHAT MEATS R U RUNNING??????
That post was "SARCASM". I think the DC's are just as silly. What are you, his attorney? FYI the "Dick Cepek tire is targeting the younger market that want a large tread tire and don't mind the loud tread noise and rough ride." There is nothing that I read about it being a good off-road tire. Like the Nitto, they are looking for people that want a "Cool looking" tire.
Since you asked,
My Hummer: ProComp M/T's. I chose them over the BFG M/T because of the siping.
The wife's Jeep Unlimited Rubicon: The same
My Samurai: BFG Krawler's
All are 35's.
And you?

See if I can answer all o' these. Straight outta Renton. The wheels are 4.5 inch backspaced Helo Maxx 8's I believe, 16x8 in. (not 10). And no rubbing--didn't even have to crank the T-bars. And I got them for $200 a piece, the guys at the Renton discount tire are awesome, they always match prices I find here on the net. Oh and they are surprisingly quiet, I've had Dunlop Mud rovers, Boggers, BFG All terrains and I love the way these ride-- I guess we'll see about wear. Thanks for the feedback.

I still like your tires, you just need a "GOT SAND?" sticker now. Let us know how they perform.

WHAT WE HAVE FROM URBAN OPS IS THE OLD HIGH SCHOOL ARGUMENT.....HIS R THE BEST BECAUSE OF PRICE....EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS...U KNOW THE :lame: MANS SYNDROME......
You should read the post's yourself. I never said anything about my tires until you asked. And I never compared mine to anyone elses.
I think more people are starting to realize you are the A$$hole.
Lighten up loser.

Guys, who cares whose tires are better or who spent more money. It all depends on how you off-road. I know many people who have the "BEST" money can buy and get stuck in 3 inches of mudd :D I have owned every Hummer Model at least twice and have owned many off-road MT/AT and On road tires for each and all performed as good as I have driven them. Just off-road and have fun and if you get stuck with the "Best" than laugh and say these tires suck :clapping: .

Tires and rims looks killer. I am going to move up to 35's as well in the next couple of weeks, I am finanly going to replace my stock adventures tires with 35's at about 34k miles.

Looks great! i have a white H3 as well and enjoy all of the pics of wheel tire combos to give me ideas. How much are the 35's affecting mileage and takeoff power?

I only have noticed 2-3 mpg difference, but i came from a 12mpg lincoln that only liked to dine on premium..so anything seems better than that. Also my odometer is off due to the increased size. I only notice the drag when pulling my boat uphill and even then I have a manual so I can downshift. I was worried about the acceleration decrease as well...it seems to affect some people more than others. Nomoyello has a great point though...you aren't going to win any races. When I put 33's on my 4-cyl wrangler I noticed a way bigger difference--5th gear was mostly unusable. The H3 is geared better and the difference to me is worth it.

tires look hot ! wheeling is a skill built up over time and with the company of good people. I stick my 3 just to give the H1 owners something to do.:giggling:

I know what you mean! I had a '99 c5 vette and a '06 Dodge Cummins, but I still enjoy the nimble handling of the H3.. I put 33's on a '02 Wrangler X 6 cyl myself and it did dog it down on a lot of hills..
