Great time, nice to meet folks from near & far! Plenty of forum members there, a total of over 30 Hummers & more than 60 people.
Thursday we spent the afternoon doing a cleanup off a famous viewing spot called Marblehead, had the sherriff with us & took out hundreds of lbs of garbage from the bottom, including half an old International truck. We used the winch on an H1 to lower us down & haul the junk back up.

1st day drivers meeting, then the Extreme group (that's where SR1355 & I tagged along with 7 H1's for a challenging day!) went into the quarry area of Turtle Ridge Off-Road Park. Carnage within 200 ft of the start, a sharp rock punctured an H1 sidewall with a hole big enough to stick a screwdriver handle into! That's the worst that happened ALL weekend though, the tools never had to come back out.

Then on to a boulder-filled nightmare of a trail for the rest of the morning...me & SR1355 did our duty at representing the H3, they went through hell with no carnage & never slowed down the H1's. Those big-a$$ things had to do 3 point turns in the trees where we could easily make the cut, but there were a few winches & straps pulled out on our part (then again, more than once an H1 had to be strapped off something)

I've got so many pics I can hardly get 'em all up here, but I'll keep trying. This place was bad to the bone, I told you all you should've come. VERY technical, rocky, extreme trails that took hours to get a mile through.

Gotta share these, some sunset & evening pictures at one of the finest campsites on the planet. A fine natural cove on Lake Huron, we packed out about 200 lbs of garbage out of here, too. Last pics are under a full moon, looks like daylight! A sailboat moored in the cove for the night, and SR1355 had fun with a flashlight while I was taking time exposures. Very last pic is us loaded with garbage for the trip out.

SR1355 representing the 517!

Notice the carnage strapped to his roof...loss of rear fender well on an errant stump!

The H1's walked right over this trail! We were hard-pressed to keep up with them, but we always found the H3 line ( it was VERY different from the H1 line!):dancingbanana:

Great Pics Cris,,, The wife, father in-law, and I had a blast, he was amazed at the thing Hummer can get thru... he's a convert. On the way back he kept saying he was going to go look at getting a Hummer!!!

Thanks for bringing the spare parts for us H3 with you. It was a great weekend with no carnage. Running with the H1 on the extreme trails was a blast. I think we resprested the H3 quite well out there.....:dancingbanana:

No H2 on extreme runs... it was 6-7 H1's and just Cris and I. We had our share of problems, mostly ground clearance issues as you can imagine but held our own with the 1's. It was some super tight trails, the H1's would get hung up on some of the squeeze's where we would slide thru with no problem. We would get hung up on boulders that they could crawl right over. Overall I'd say we kept up with them... apart from 100' rock garden that we thought we had the 3 line figuired out. I think it was a three winch obstacle. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Certainly looks different this time of year. Island has about 3 foot of snow now....As soon as the snow (snowmobile trails in winter) clears I'm heading back, cabin fever is setting in....

Winter......

A few weeks ago I was getting the same "cabin fever" and had to put some wheeling threads back up in this bitch.

Pics of the rig at the ski resorts just aint the same, if a subaru hooptie can do it, it's not like wheeling. :fdance:
