Oh please, let's not even get started on the euro. The pendulum has been at the opposite extreme as well, within the last 10 years. The way you guys get along it won't be long before the eu self destructs, why do you think the brits are smart enough to hold on to the pound. :giggling: Besides between all the countries your letting in, and your sorry ass tolerance for radical muslims, it won't be long before the crescent moon appears on your coins and you start calling your currency the dinar. :OWNED: :OWNED: :OWNED: :OWNED:

Not sure about the WWW, but I did see one guy from the WWF rip a Gutenberg Bible in half once. Or maybe it was a telephone book. Either way, it was pretty impressive.

The sad part is do you think either Gov. really knows what makes the economy tick. Over the years I've heard so much crap--trickle down ,Reganomics free trade, world trade ,tariffs ,punitive duties and I think it's still the consumer and taxpayer who gets it in the neck or wallet. So wherever the dollar is pegged I,m sure I'll hopefully be left with just enough to live on and run my Hummer of course.

Yeah, the free market here pays for most of the world's medical and pharmaceutical advancements. In Canada, the government pays to provide these benefits of American ingenuity to the Canadians. Of course the Canadians really pay for this through higher taxes. Fortunately, the free market in American, though providing all the rest of the world with 21st century medical technology, is still successful enough that we have much more money per person than in Canada. The free market America has 25-30% of all the world's wealth; while socialist Canada taxes the dousche out of its citizens to provide them with sh!tty Canadian bureaucratic healthcare and good American-made drugs.

That's completely false. Canadian Pharmaceutical Companies are world leaders in invention and development of drugs.

For you to state that millions of Americans buying American made drugs CHEAPER in Canada just doesn't make sense. Unless it's another faux pas to your system of government.

Does that include your black and Hispanic population? More money per person really says nothing for people like me. At most a few hundred complaining about our health care in nothing compared to the 70% of your population not being able to afford it.

Our politicians are liars and gas is expensive. That's pretty much it. It's a short list. :D

As oppose to:

1. Your looming potential financial meltdown due to the combination of massive annual federal budget deficits and even more massive and growing annual current account deficits.
2. Election fraud.
3. Campaign financing and the buying of elections and those elected.
4. A continued and unsustainable influx of illegal immigrants and the consequent downward push on wages and quality of life.
5. Outsourcing of manufacturing and white collar jobs and the inevitable long term decline in living standards.(Note: this decline is only temporarily being masked by having household incomes only marginally declining due to both husband and wife working, by an influx of cheap imports, and by a huge increase in household credit card debt.
6. The looming bankruptcy of the Government Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp.
7. The looming shortfalls in your Social Security Fund and the disastrous effects "privatization" will have on it.
8. The looming bankruptcy of Medicare and Medicaid.
9. An unaffordable and increasingly unreliable medical care system.
10. Unaffordable medicine.
11. An inequitable and increasingly non-progressive tax system.
12. Continued media consolidation and control by a few Corporations.
13. A foreign policy that is isolating the United States, alienating allies, creating enemies, actually serving to encourage nuclear proliferation, and creating the impression abroad (EVEN among the thoughtful there in America) the the United States is now the "evil empire".
14. An even split down the middle in American Unity.

But I'm sure every American is aware of this. That's why voting for the right one in 2008 is paramount.

All Lies! Damned Lies!! And Canadian Lies!!:D

Seriously, most people here can afford good healthcare. Most (85%) are insured. Many who aren't can afford it, but choose not to. Most of the rest are covered by meidcaid/medicare. In any event, it's illegal for hospitals here to turn away emergency patients for lack of payment or insurance. Canadians may manufacture drugs developed by American companies, but without the American innovation, the drugs would not exist in the first place. What are the Canadian counterparts to: Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Wyeth, Eli Lilly, etc ... ?

Whoops, wrong again:

But [are Dennis's insane, anti-American ramblings] the entire story — especially if we look at the larger war on terror, in which the four-year Iraqi war is deeply embedded?

For example, do more or fewer countries have dangerous weapons programs? Is the Islamic Street more or less ready to help suicide bombers and terrorists? And are our allies in Europe and the Middle East more or less cooperative after the Iraqi war? Are the long-term trends favorable or unfavorable to our cause?

At the end of the Clinton administration, there was bipartisan worry that four countries may have had viable nuclear weapons programs — Iran, Iraq, Libya, and North Korea. Two of those, we know now, do not; North Korea may not either. Iran is facing international scrutiny as never before. In fact, it is still possible that we will not see a single member added to the nuclear club during this current administration — in contrast to the acquisition of an “Islamic bomb” by Pakistan during the 1990s. ...

Radical Islam could not exist without receptive local populations that hide, shelter, and subsidize radical Islamists. Indeed, the current war will ultimately be won or lost by the degree to which Muslim tribes and Arab communities drain the water in which the al Qaeda sharks swim.

So has bin Laden used our invasion of an Arab Muslim country to rally support around his radical Islamic agenda? He tried, and after 2003 he seemed to be succeeding, and enjoying wide support in Pakistan where he probably hides. But according to a poll conducted by WorldPublicOpinion.Org (http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/) in April 2007, large majorities in Egypt (88 percent), Indonesia (65 percent) and Morocco (66 percent) acknowledged that “groups that use violence against civilians, such as al Qaeda, are violating the principles of Islam. Islam opposes the use of such violence." And in other Pew Global Attitudes polls of the Middle East, popular support for bin Laden himself has nose-dived, and with it approval of suicide bombing.

We all remember the European acrimony over the invasion of 2003, when both France and Germany led a continental-wide attack on the United States. But the election-cycle leaders who whipped up that anti-Americanism — Jacques Chirac and Gerhard Schroeder, especially — are both gone, and are mostly disgraced. Few would have imagined in 2003 that a French President would, just four years later, be warning Iran — and the world at large — about the possibility of war should the theocracy continue on its path to nuclear-weapons acquisition.

As America fought radical Islamists of all sorts in Iraq, Europe was bombed in Madrid and London; Theo van Gogh was murdered in the Netherlands; cartoonists in Denmark and Sweden were threatened along with opera producers in Germany; and even the pope himself in Rome warned.

The old idea that the United States in Iraq "stirred" up otherwise somnolent jihadists finally lost currency. Instead, many European leaders began to see — however unwise they thought the strategy of promoting constitutional government in Baghdad had become — that Iraq was but one theater in larger struggle against radical Islam. Subsequent European surveillance and wiretaps of suspected jihadists are now far less scrutinized than in the United States. There are probably more video cameras in London than in all major American cities combined. The continent’s immigration laws, at one time far more lenient than ours, are now becoming far more restrictive.
