Went out 4x4ing yesterday and had alot of fun. I ford f350 crew longbox on 44's got stuck pretty bad so we linked 5 trucks together to pull him out, the result was that we got him out but I snapped a factory tierod. Some of the guys drove into town and got a new tierod and we replaced it on the trail. Today I ordered Fabtech Tierods, Cognito's support kit and Idler Pivot assembly. Here are some pics!
Intheresting this topic came up as I talked to Fabtech this morning and they told me their tie rods are not for stock Hummers but only those with a lift kit. I was just about to buy a set myself but I'm stock. Is anyone running Fabtechs on a stock Hummer?
BTW, where did you buy your Fabtechs from?

I am, and there are several others here that have run the Fabtech tie rods on stock H2s. If you search hard enough, there's a thread or two here somewhere that talks of this specific issue, i.e., what Fabtech says vs. reality.
Disclaimer: That is, unless Fabtech has changed something in the last year or so.

I'm near Vancouver B.C. and ordered mine from North Shore Offroad. They have a set in stock so I should get them tomorrow.

Yup, the Fabtech tie rods are pretty much bullet proof. Here's a pic of mine:

Put the Fabtechs on my stock suspension H2 about 4 years ago and have put about 50k on them. Have the steering stabilizer in addition. I have done some easy ;) off-roading and they seem to be ok.

How long till this post gets x'd? You must know an insider for this to stay up so long ;)!
It wasn't until I spoke with him recently that I learned he'd been banned from this site, and I don't know the details. I'm about as far from knowing an "insider" as you can be, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
