Injured my front diff case on my 2004 H2 on Steel Bender in Moab. One hop did it. Oh I finished driving the trail before pulling the half shafts and front propeller shaft. Then drove easy trails for a couple of days and then 800 miles home.

Here is the alarming part. Until recently, you could order a complete front diff assembly from GM or a Hummer dealer. Lynch could have you one on the way the same day.

There are none currently shown in the US in inventory.

Surprise, Surprise, GM has decided that you have to order parts and rebuild your own. That sucks when you are on the trail and want to get ready to go again the next day.

Certainly disapointing.

I am getting a rebuilt from Southern Axel and upgrading to an E-Locker.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a brand new front diff sitting in my garage I have had for some time. I was trying to sell it but maybe I will just keep it now. The only thing I do not have is the cover. What was the price on a complete front diff from hummer before they stopped selling them?

You may be able to check with a GM dealer to see what the historical price was. There is alot of "replaced by" jargon attached to the part number that takes them no where.

The case is what blows, or what I have seen with my own and two others I have witnessed. Scot at SAX can get you a case then you will have the complete assembly.
