I'm looking to get a new exhaust system. I don't want extra power, just want it to be LOUD (LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES :D ).
What do you suggest ?? Borla, Corsa, ... ??????
This one looks and sounds pretty good (the sport version) :

CORSA Sport was great!!!!! Pricey, but sound great!!! Make sure you have the exhaust clamps removed and welded into place. the clamp can loosen over time and than your're screwed when it's 20 below out and you have no way to fix it. :crying:

I have the Borla with Dyna Tech headers and high flow cats. I would not consider it a loud set of pipes but, it is the tone and Sound level that I wanted. When I step on it I hear it but daily driving is still melow rumble. So if loud is what you are after I would not pick borla. I have no expierence with Corsa so cant say either way. However, the next addition I am after is electronic cut out's, or as some call them dump valves. By the flick of a switch, I have full open pipes.

frenzy,
I run Dynatech headers with Dynatech high flow catbacks. I then ran duals with crossover pipe 3" back to 2 Flowmaster Super 40's and came out with 2 short 2.5" pipes to get over axl. It is mellow at cruise but, when you go WOT it is heard everywhere no mistaking that. I left pipes under at first just turned down in front of the axl and it felt like my insides were going to turn to jelly. Now you can get a deeper Flowmaster Super 44's.
I have run Flowmasters for many years and have liked them. You could try just having your stock muffler out and just having a 44 put in it's place to get a loud sound. Would not be a big deal to try that before spending more. If not loud enough then go to just factory setup split into duals with 2 44's and that may get you loud enough. I'm just thinking in terms of a progression without jumping in with both feet and buying stuff you may not really want.

frenzy are you going to have problems with the cops with the loud stuff. I know here in germany anything over 7 db and they will make you take it off. :crying:
I'm looking for something for my rig myself but worried about being to loud.

Hey Frenzy..I pm'd you, but not sure you got it. How loud can you stand it?..BRUTE has Magnacharger SC, Volant CAI, Dynatech long tube headers with high flo cats, Bassani dual exhaust, QTP electronic exhaust cutouts, almost always open, and bully dual tip exhaust extensions. When I pull up to a red light, BRUTE just sits there and rumbles. No one even comes close to me, which is disappointing, since I love the comversation back and forth..AWESOME SOUND...:beerchug:

as you get older you tend to like it less loud , especialy if the old lady is along for the ride .:giggling:
