I stopped at the dealer here and they have one with the slant back hard shell top. Boy do they look good with that. However, they want $3995.00 for the top!!! Maybe I am just cheap, but that seems crazy to me!
I was impressed with how solid it was mounted. They use like 1/4" steel plates that mount to the rails inside the bed. And it has an LED light that comes on when you open it, however it is not very bright at all. I would give the mounting design an A+ for solidness, and the whole thing an A+ for finish and quality, except for the light. It really is kind of pathetic.
However, $4000 just seem crazy to me!

Did you check with SnugTop or a distributor directley?
A fiberglass shell shouldn't be more than $500-1000 maybe more with the features listed below?
http://www.snugtop.com/products/HummerH3.php
Featuring a classic low-profile and contoured design, the H3T?s SNUGLid tonneau cover keeps cargo in place and protects it from weather and theft while its tailgate-overlap provides extra security. Reminiscent of the original HUMVEE, but with a classier look, the precision-crafted SNUGTOP Slant Back Cover appears as a natural extension of the cab while providing extra storage for all manner of outdoor gear and gadgets.
The Slant Back cover offers these features:
FIXED FRONT WINDOW
PROLOCK BACK DOOR LOCK
STANDARD RACK TRACKS (for use with Hummer accessory racks)
SNUGRUG HEADLINER (coal mist only)
INTEGRATED 3RD BRAKE LIGHT
"LIFT ASSIST" PROPS (Cap and SL Lid)
KEYLESS REMOTE (SL Lid only)
DARK TINTED GLASS WINDOWS
OEM COLOR MATCHED PAINT
I called our local distributer (outside of St. Louis) and they quoted me a price of $2,995. I haven't seen it in person but that still seems way too high. I might consider that if it was around $1500 or so but that is too much.

No, I haven't looked at a Snugtop dealer. I agree, $1500 seems reasonable, but $4000 is outragous! Maybe they will come down after awhile when they have sold a few.

haha. When was the last time you priced out a nice one? :D
About 2K is avg for a nice top/ However, I think this new slantback top is wayyyyyyyy overpriced.
