View Full Version : Boulder Bumper/Winch on H3T
I received all my parts and got the bumper installed. I haven't cut the rest of the plastic or bent the skid plate yet so the pics may look a little sloppy. The installation was pretty basic once I received the parts and instructions.

That thing looks awesome it almost looks military. :perfect10s:
Thanks for the positive feedback. I grabbed one of the "buy it now" for $877 with shipping included so it was a pretty good deal. I'm going to crank the torsion bars tonight and level it out. It should make it look alot better. I'll post the pics tomorrow of how it turns out.

How did you mount the license plate?
They sell a bracket that attaches to the pins for your rollers. It hinges up out of the way when you use the winch. Pretty slick setup.

I cranked my torsion bars about 4 turns on the right and 4.5 on the left. It still sits about an inch or so lower than the back. It raised the front about 2 1/4 so far. The extra weight of the winch drops it a bit. I have an alignment scheduled for Monday so I still have a few days to play with it. I searched old post but never found a definitive answer on the "max" turns that are safe. Any thoughts? I may leave it as it is as it looks a lot better than the previous pics before adjusting

Hey Nips, I just ordered my Brush Guard acouple days ago, what modifications did you have to do to the front of your truck? And did it just bolt up to the factory locations? Also what kind of backspacing did you need with those 35' tires? 5'? I got my truck june 6th and got re-deployed on the 13th, when i get home its gona be like christmas with all the parts I've been ordering, ha ha.

Also before I forget, did you buy the bumper for 08 and prior? thats what i got, i'm hoping it fits, lol.
I put on the same one you bought. There are only a few simple mods which are documented in the instructions. You have to trim a plastic shield on the front, trim your fender liners, and you have to use a '07 skid plate. It bolts rather easily to existing holes. They forgot to send me the mounting hardware so be sure to check for it before tearing off your old bumper.
I used the stock rims with the bigger tires. I did not change backspacing. They rub a little at full lock but I can live with that.
