View Full Version : Got my 35's installed today
Finally got my 35's. Purchased 315/75 R16 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlars today and had them installed. I have included some pics that I took while touring the massive flooding that we are experiencing.

You truck looks great on 35's. Did you raise the front to fit them? Those tires would be handy for that flooding...
Thanks...I cranked the torsoin bars and added the extended shocks/bumpstops. I stopped at about 4 turns which put me 1" lower than the back. The 35's finally makes it look complete for me.
They look great man! Let me hear some reviews on the tires. I'll be home in about 3 weeks and I'm looking pretty hard at what tires I want. These are new to my list. Goodyear seems to have put a lot of technology into them.
How's the road noise?
How are the street manors?
How are they in loose rocks, mudd!, and overall wheel'n?

I probably won't get the chance to offroad until the Badlands trip next month. I can't wait to climb some hills. Get to find out if they are as good as the hype.
They do humm going down the road but not nearly as bad as I thought they would judging by their looks. They seemed to handle/ride fairly well but do rub at full steering lock of course. The tread depth is 22/32 new so they should dig extremely well. I would drop by a Goodyear shop and check them out. The guy at the told me they are supposed to wear better than the MT/R so only time will tell.
When is the Badlands trip? I'll be outta this sand box soon, and might be able to make the trip. Is it the trip with the hummer club.
It is a THCI event and it is June 18-20 . Hopefully you can make it. Should be a blast.
Damn. I should be in the area on the 20th. But I don't think I can make it any sooner. Boo that. I might have to make a seperate trip with my dad or something. We'll see, maybe I can get some of you to make a trip to Silver lake Michigan or another trip to the Badlands while I'm home.
I'm sure you could round up a group to head out on a weekend. I'm not too far from the Badlands so I would be up for another trip. Gotta get my $$$ worth out of these tires!

No good information yet. Haven't had the H3T out much the last week. We did take it down the interstate today. You can hardly hear them @ 70 MPH and they ride fairly nice. I'll find some mud tomorrow if we get some rain.

:clapping: Love the look of the Toyo's. How is the PCM tune workin' out for you? Definitely notice the extra size/weight of the tires now. Thinking of having the tune done but still a little nervous given the truck is only 6 months old.

The tires look really good! The Mississippi is up too. After scaring the &%* out of myself last summer when driving with some sandbags in my Hummer for the people of Clarksville, MO, I keep two life jackets under the rear seat. What I thought was shallow (1 foot) water turned out to be three times as deep where the road was washed out under the muddy water. As they say, there is no better teacher than experience! If I wasn't in a Hummer who knows what would have happened.

Dude, the PCM tune is a must!!! You will get all your power back if you have the I-5. My truck was only 5 months old too. Check wit your dealership to see if it will mess wit your warranty, or you could purchase the new PCM and keep the old one and if you ever have to take it in you can switch(i think this is something you can do). I could never of dealt wit the messed up shift points and sluggishness of the new tires. Got the PCM tune and it was back to normal, actually a little better. Do it, it's the best Mod I made so far!!!

I definitely can feel the sluggishness but since I have the 5-spd I don't have to deal with the shift points. I probably will have that done in a month or two. Sounds like a great deal with tons of satisfied customers.

Those wheels are stock. They are new this year and I think only on the H3T. Not sure what package but maybe the base model.
