connectors under hood

Could anyone shed some light on what the two extra plugs on the passenger side are intended for. They are just plugged into holders coming off the front light harness group.

One is the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor HVAC
Other is the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Mirror

P.S. Look where they go through the plastic and you'll see the sensors ;)

I'm looking at a dvd version but sometimes I just like a old school printed version.
