No,
But I accidentally left my high power tip on my pressure washer and blasted the chrome of one of my mirrors.

Tried Easy Off on the mirror covers tonight. All it did was make them shinny. Hit it 100 grit and could not cut through the chrome. Anyway, I scuffed them up and spayed them with Krylon satin black. Hopefully it will stick. I am a bit more reluctant to do the grille.

scuff up the chrome with a scotch brite pad, prime with a good quality etching primer, and then paint. Mine have been holding up perfectly.

I took my spare tire license plate holder off today and started working on the chrome insert. I found a small spot where the chrome had a small crack in it. I started peeling and it was a PITA. I got a lot off and sanded what I could. Not all of the chrome would peel off. Those guys at GM put some serious chrome plating on their plastic. It looks a little rought. Also, i just scuffed the chrome mirror caps and painted them semi-gloss as well. I left the can a little high on the last coat to give it some texture. They look like factory black caps. Lets see how they hold up. Next is the grille...
what kind of paint do you recommend you put on the chrome piece on the back of the side mirriors? which type of spray paint?

I used Krylon semi gloss black with no clear coat. If it starts to chip I will use Duplicolor spray on bed liner and sand it back down to the chrome using 100 grit.
I sprayed by roof bars with Dupli-Color spray on bed liner on Friday and hope that sticks. I taped up the inside channel so I could put the rubber strip back in.
I want to paint my door pulls but do not want to have to take them out. I have been thinking about the Dupli-Color SHD1000 Shadow Black Chrome Coating Spray on those. If I do it, I will tape up arond them and the truck and try it that way. It could turn into a mess and am trying to get my guts up to do that. I want to do my wheels with it as well and go as dark as I can.
