I am disappointed with the extended factory warranty that I purchased from General Motors for my H2.

In order to get a peace of mind, I purchased the most comprehensive and complete warranty that I can get from General Motors, which is called : ?Total Plus?

I have the impression that buying a warranty with a slogan of ? Total Plus ? means it is a complete warranty and plus more?..

But it seems that the warranty should be called ?Not Complete ?

It seems that I need to replace the oil cooler lines, even the mechanic thought that this kind of issue should be covered by the Total Plus warranty but it turns out that when he called General Motors to get an approval for the warranty repair, it was rejected.

I really hate when a company sells a bumper to bumper or total plus warranty but it turns out that is not a total coverage warranty.

What is the point of buying a total plus warranty for more than two thousand dollars when you submit a claim they reject it, and when you submit another claim and they rejected again, and again.

Actually, is it difficult to change the oil cooler lines ?

Any thoughts ?

Thanks

I'd raise hell and take it over their heads to the GM regional manager. Since there are no longer any Hummer dealers I've found warranty and costs vary greatly from GM dealer to dealer. What dealership did you take it to? They treat the Hummer as a stepchild.

Since my warranty is the GM extended warranty so the oil cooler lines are not covered

Maybe GM knows that it is a crappy parts that is why they don't covered it under their extended warranty.

Is there an aftermarket oil cooler lines that we can buy that is better than the standard factory cooler lines ?

Live and Learn on warranties, only take them if they are free. Anymore, dealerships are so snobby they do not want to pay their mechanics to work on stuff that they won't make money on- probably for the same reason they stopped releasing recalls for stuff to be fixed.

I guess that is why GM is failing at staying in the game because they cannot respect the most valuable customers of their brand- US! We spent more money on the Hummer than anything else GM has made. Disappointing enough for me to not buy any more GM's after my Duece; it will be the last and only one in my stable.

+1. I'm looking for a new SUV now, and I like the Denali, but I just can't stomach the thought of supporting such crap.

Warranties, insurance, protection plans..... forget it. Not even worth the hassle. There's so many loopholes and struggles to redeem your 'protection' you're better off putting the extra money in the bank for when you need it.

I'm about to raise our homeowners and vehicle deductibles also. Unless it's major I don't even want to have to think about calling anyone for a claim. Not worth my time.

Best of luck to you with your oil cooler lines!
