I have to stop driving up to St. Louis, because now the wife wants to trade in her 4 Runner for a Hummer. A two Hummer family??? I think it was a strong hint she wants to drive mine more. While I was looking around at Lynch yesterday afternoon I saw one with the factory chrome gas cap on the window sticker. I didn't think they were out yet, but they are.

Jim,
Looks like they had a number in stock. Did you happen to notice how many were on the lot. For those of you out there that sell them, are you starting to build stock in the H3 or are they flying off the lot as soon as they him them?

That makes more sense. It's been 4 weeks since we were up in St. Louis, but I did notice a lot of H3s with sold in the window and some gone from our previous visit. A wild guess would be they had about 25 H3s on the lot and in back and a bunch of new H2s and a handful of H1s. While we were there at least another 4 people were walking around on a Sunday afternoon looking at H3s. Every one of them asked me how I liked my H3 and wanted to know what mileage I was getting. As we were getting ready to make the drive home a Chesterfield Police cruiser pulled up and asked to see my license and registration - maybe he thought I was driving one off the lot http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. He told me they watch the Hummer lot closely on Sunday and before we headed home he said, "Would you mind if I sat in yours? These seats are really comfortable! I think GM has a real winner here."
6,694 miles now and loving every minute of it!
Been a long time since I've had a machine this fun to drive and this comfortable.

That's cool that they are watching the dealership closely. Forgot how dealerships in that area of the country are not open on Sundays. Guess I have just gotten used to them being open down here.

Here in Tampa - they are closed on Sunday. I'm one of those "lot-prowlers" on the weekend - I need to see them somewhere until mine is in my driveway! Not too many on the roads around here yet...

I didn't know they were closed on Sundays in Tampa. I was so shocked when I first moved down here that they were open on Sundays. Many of them also stay open late, up to midnight, on weeknights. Guess they are getting traffic at that time. Get people out car shopping after dinner and they still have time to take delivery.

Not all manufacturers are closed over here...but it always seems that whatever I am looking to buy at the time is at a dealer who IS closed...Oh well, at least I can still walk-the-lot! It would be a real bummer if they had it fenced...
