Hello H2 lovers....

I have a 2001 2500HD GMC Duramax Diesel pickup with chromed H2 wheels. Does anybody know the load specs on these wheels. I realize the H2 is a 8600 GVW vehicle. I would think the wheels are rated around 2200 lbs??

I'm not sure on the rating either.
Just curious on the size tires u have on it.
I'm going to put on stock H2 rims and would like to go BFG 285/70R17 tires (I have 285/75R16 BFG on it now).
Is the backspacing OK?
BTW I think the H2 has the 6000# rear axle (couldn't find specs on web) if so the rims are rated at least 3000# each.
The front axle is 4000# rated.

I have Pro-Comp 33/25.5-R17's on them. Same as 305/70-R17's I think.

Fit is great. Bars cranked about 5 turns. No lift.

These are cast wheels so I don't think they are rated that high but I could be wrong.

The 5.5" backspacing is the best part. It puts the tires right where we want them.

Do u mean 33/12.5-R17 or are the tires 25.5" wide?
What rating are the tires C or D ?
I need D rating for the weight capacity.

Sorry, I meant 33/12.5-R17

Yes they are "D" 8 ply tires.

I hate to keep bugging u BUT did u have to pull the inner fenders back so tires wouldn't rub?
After the 5 turns in front bars did it change alignment?

No problem.

All I did is what I said. Nothing more. 5 turns.

It does change th ealignment slightly. Mines getting one. just in case. Drives straight.

The door GVW sticker says 5000# rear axle so the rims have to be atleast 2500# rating or more.
