Does anybody know if the stock alarm can be changed? I want to change the alarm to the viper system with the remote pager and auto start but i was not sure if this was possible due to the Onstar. So can somebody please let me know if it can be changed. Thank you

i have the viper 790xv w/ remote start in my h2..the system has worked flawlessly so far...and the factory alarm is still in the truck..but it only goes off with the old remotes.

The onstar system is in no way tied to the alarm and will not be effected when installing an alarm. The DEI brands of product are all excellent choices. You will need a bypass module if you add a remote start system.
