I got mine in Stockton, there's a set coming in this week but they won't let me buy just one until they get more. I called the manager again today and said that he still trying to find singles. I just don't wanna drive my truck without a spare tire.

i was thinking of doing it but its more money that i can use towards other things. Plus, i bought my locking gas cap in chrome so i figured it atleast matches the grill.

Anyone with a Gobi ladder know if a larger tire like Marks or Neocons will fit on the gate or will it hit the ladder?

NEOCON1
04-05-2006, 12:38 AM
if you have 2 inches of space between stock tire and ladder you will be fine . my toyo's measure 34.6 to 34.8 inches not exactly 35" the BFG's are a little smaller like .1 inch or so thats point 1 of an inche

opinions please...

do you guys think it will look stupid to buy a different brand tire to use as a spare?

4 weeks out, I can either hold off and get the Toyos when available or get lets say BFG A/Ts same size of course, or M/Ts for that matter?

HummerNewbie
04-05-2006, 07:53 PM
Can you get the BFGs at the same location? If so, see if they will mount a BFG for you on the spare and take it back when the Toyo comes in. Now this will really only work if you don't end up having to use it between now and when the Toyos come in. Worst case scenario, they should give you at least 75% of the cost back toward the Toyo.

You'll definitely need something by the DV trip so I'd say get another brand until the Toyos show up. Don't worry about how it looks. You can always get a cover for it. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

You might check with used tire places in the area and see if you can pick up something cheap as a temp spare.

Don't worry about it. You just offically DID NOT make the list. After some serious "A" kissing,we may reconsider. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Those that do make the list will enjoy special treatment by the T&A Affliates. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
