after reading, and reading, all the great info on this site for the past couple of weeks i thought i should join in the fun. i'm way up here in canada waiting on the arrival of the H3.(so keep the pics coming!) i'm a jeep owner, love my jeep, need a hummer. our msrp is a little different, so if there are any other canadian's out there, get online so we can help eachother out. some of the prices i'm getting quoted are outrageous. again, great site.

Go to Ron Hodgson in St. Albert and talk to Naz. He is bringing over a H3 over from Southgate thursday or friday for a test drive. Just wanted to ad a quick note to all south of the border, that our MSRP here in Alberta is for a lux+adv. is around $53,000.00 CAD.

Jeez,
that's a rip off. What's stopping you from comming down to say Montana or Washington, and buying one? Would they let you register it or would they charge some kind of crazy tax?

don, i'm looking into the process of buying one in montana. yes, there's a couple of taxes that need to be paid at the border, as well as a couple of other hoops to jump through. i'm trying to find someone who has gone through the process and pick their brain.
dennis- msrp in cndian is base 40,000 and then they stick it to us on options.

Hummer Eh!

If you take the exchange rate and duties (since new vehicles are not considered Free Trade) into consideration, the price will be the same!

I test drove the Black demo at Southgate and was quite impressed with the drive. Power was a little lacking. Also noticed the trim on the roof along the passenger side was not fitted properly. Since I tend to keep vehicles for a long time, I'm a little concerned about long term reliability. Will the Hummer develope squeaks and rattles? Will the painted bumper start flaking paint after a few years???
Any comments from current owners???

it was the duty i knew nothing about. thanks for the info. so i bite the bullet and shell out 50 large. i'm thinking of waiting for the new blue color, whenever that comes out. it'll also give a little time to see if these vehicles are as good as i'm hoping.
