What do you think of this? Billet Powdercoat for $135. Is it worth it?

Not a bad price. I think you can find better or a better wuality door though. Maybe it's just the pics, but it looks like the chrome one I used to have and someone did a PC job over it. We have the Reel Wheels fuels doors on both of our HUMMERS. No complaints here and Jason can get the for you I'm sure.

Do you have to drill to install something like this?

nope. You pull the splash guard out behind the gas cap and the fuel door has slots for it to go into. Than you put it back in place and put the two screws back in. Order the Reel Wheels one and I'll give you a hand putting in on if you want.

See if you can get a pick of the back of it. The one that I had like that you have to modify your splash guard to make it work.

Anyone remember the model number of the Stant locking cap that fits the '03 H2?? Is it still available? It only cost about $12-14.

Well it has a 14 day return so I pulled the trigger this morning before you posted. If I have to cut anything I'll send it back. Here's the brief description from the listing:

Black Powdercoated BILLET Locking Fuel Door w/ 2 Keys

Replaces factory plastic part

This is a BILLET PART that has been Powdercoated Black

Easy 5 minute install with a screwdriver

It doesn't say cutting but I'll find out next week.

I have that door in black. It ended up coming from pedator motor sports. it feels solid and was very easy to install. IN the back there are about 8 screws. The edge of the screws fit around the outside of your spash gaurd. I put mine on my SUT about 3 months ago. Still looks and works great. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I just ordered the same door pictured earlier this week. I hope to get it Tuesday. We'll see. . .

Where did you order yours from? I've seen one on ebay for $135.00, but I haven't ordered one because they say that aftermarket gas caps might mess up the pressure in the tank.

The post is misnamed. You don't replace the cap, just add a locking door over it

Caps might, but the door would never mess up the pressure. So you would be safe.
