So I finally have my H3 ( i will post pics when i get back from Vegas this week) and the first day I drove it a rock hit my windshield and made a small crack that I need to get fixed before it runs. I was mad at first but hey, **** happens, i was just wondering if this is common and if the angle of the windshild has an effect on that. Are cracks something i have to get used to or do yall think it was just a bad day.

From what I have seen posted, this is a common problem. Obviously it has happened more with the H2 since they have been out for a while but it is bound to happen on the H3 due to the angle of the windshield.

x2. Same number of screens at about the same cost. Colorado sucks that way. All the sand on the roads.

I have an 05 SUT with it's second windshield reaplaced two months ago. We also have an H3 that we just put our $400 windshield in. That screen costs more than H2 screen. get glass insurance ASAP.

$400 ouch. I wonder why the H2 screen is < H3. Maybe they will get cheaper down the road. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

The H2 shield is less I think because there are more aftermarket windshields. I pay like $280 OTD for the H2 shields. That's Ok, I hear T- cases and spider gears are cheaper in the H3. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

We brought ours home just before Labor Day, and have busted two windshields since. I suspect the price will come down to about $250 after awhile (aftermarket cash) they are small windshields, however glass people want more now cuz its a "Hummer" if I was told if you can afford a Hummer, $800 for a windshield should'nt bother you. I said nothing, showed him my middle finger, and had one installed for $400. Even though our insurance paid for it, I was'nt going that Jerk to rip us off.

Better the windshield than the paint.

Guess I'll to really watch it and not tailgate all the dump trucks that seem to run around close to where I work. I'd prefer not to have to install multiple windshields if I can help it.

Wow, I thought I was the only person that had bad luck with windshields. I had to repair or replace the windshiled in my Acura CL, S2000, and Wrangler all within the time span of about 18 months. I am now paranoid anytime a truck is anywhere near me. I hate that sound, CRACK! And suddenly I am 250 bucks poorer.
