Just wondering if anyone else bought there hummer for advertising purposes and if so please post a pic and how does it work for you.
Wow--can it get more tacky? I would never buy from that guy.
A simple www........ (http://www........). on the rear fixed windows is enough.

I'm not picking on you, but just wondering. From your post, you make it sound like you bought the truck strictly for getting the looks at your advertising...is this what you're saying?

I was thinking of doing something simular but going one step further and wraping the whole truck in vinyl. The great thing about real estate is we also get to choose who we want to work with. So what if I don't sell a house to some jackass. The majority of people who would buy a house because of the advertising would far outweight a few judgemental morons. Why not use a vehicle, that is a business tax write off, for business and get to wheel it on the weekends. I get so tired of people telling other people how they think they should run their lives. Mind your own business and shut the f%*K up.

Yes the vehicle was bought for advertising purposes. And I can honestly say if I was to spend money on some other form of advertising I would have to put a value of $8,000 to $10,000 a month on the H2 for what it does for my business. As far as tacky I guess each to there own but really lets face it, is it a very practical vehicle to do anything else with other than get out and 4 wheel with on the weekend. And as you can see I do that as well. It creates income during the week so I can play on weekends. When I posted I was looking for an honest answer not smart ass comments from people who don't even own an H1 or H2. And As far as a complete wrap that's a great idea but very expensive for this go around as the H2 was a trial thing. Perhaps when I purchase the next one for my assistant I will consider that. Thank you to the people who have made educated comments so far.

I advertise at my local health club and have gotten a pretty good response but they have almost doubled my rate for this year's contract. They went from $2,000 to $4,700. I can wrap my whole truck for around $3,000. The vinyl wrap company said the wrap will last for several years. If I use my truck for three years, then the cost is pretty cheap compared to other forms of advertising. Also if I wrap the whole thing I will not have any sun fading issues on uncovered areas. The only draw back is I will have to watch my driving.

My Fiance and I have always wanted a HUMMER, we also bought it for the tax write off as well as it's offroading ability. Hey, it's more fun to drive than a billboard. We even got a picture in the NY Times with our website. I have received several calls saying that they spotted me on the road. I've also gotten several jobs that arise from conversations about our H2. Here are a couple of pics.

I'm planning to use my H2 for advertising as well. I see nothing at all wrong with doing that as it is a hell of a lot cheaper than paying to have a billboard somewhere.

Thank you for your reply inkaboutit h2. I have only had the decals on for 45 days now but am using the hummer in all other areas of my advertising as well. I looked into billboards but not sure I would of gotten the same results plus then I would be following instead of leading. How long do you think it took for the H2 to start bringing in business. This is a pic I had taken last week professionally

Haha... smartass.
There's a big difference between constantly having a chip on your shoulder and taking everything as a personal affront and f'ing around. But I would expect you'd be able to notice the difference.

HAHAHAHA.... You insulting members of this board on a daily basis is just "f'n around". That's hilarous.
That's a crooked ass line you are drawing.
Don't worry. Now that you've made the bold statement that you are this innocent member, and that I'm the big bad troll. I'll be sure to point out everytime you loose it on this forum. Which is pretty easy since all I have to do is click on "View all posts by this member" in your profile. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I NEVER said I was innocent, you mush-headed lummox. I said that you have a huge chip on your shoulder and a hair trigger temper to go with it.
We have the S&B to go at each other, but you choose to make a huge public display of yourself out here, hoping to impress the public forum members into thinking you're a big, tough, burly manly man. As far as I've seen you're the only person that's posted a pic of yourself upside down on a rope playing G.I. Joe. You're also the one who bought the biggest, ugliest bumper & brushguard to try to make your rig look more imposing.
You are also the only person that saves all of this crap for future examination.

Actually you chose to jump on me for posting that I hope the forum upgrade has an Ignore feature. Which I want to ignore trolls of the board, or bling bling thread starters. But you took this as an opportunity to insult me. Why? Because that is all you use this forum for.

I also didn't buy those bumpers. They were donated to me.

Yes, I have email notification of Private Topics on. They are delivered to my email and autmatically put into a folder with Outlook rules. So what? That is the way I'm notified if people send me a private topic. It has also proved useful for when topics get deleted on accident, which has happened once when with your Private Topic, and once when Alecs got accidentially deleted. Instead of thanking me, you once again show your true grumpiness. Thanks again for further proving this point.
You really need to just grow up man. Your pointless insults just bore me at this point.

H2 X-Treme
03-07-2004, 07:04 PM
A little late, but here is what I have done to my H2.
The advertising impact has been huge !!!
I am located in a major beach summer tourist area in Atlantic Canada.
I have my H2 at all sorts of X-treme events,
Skim, Skate, Snow boarding events etc.
The truck pays for it self.

Thank you for your reply the H2 looks great all decaled up. How long after the advertising went on did it take for you to notice an increase in business and do you think the H2 will do the same for real estate as it did for you.

The reponse was quick.
For the type of business, this H2 is an eye catcher !!
Being a young lifestyle retail store, the Hummer markets to a 10 - 35 age group.
Which is my market.
Parked in front of my store during the Summer months, The H2 just brings them in.
As you can see from the previous picture, the store is wild looking as well.
Within one year, my H2 and store became known all over NB, NS, PEI.
I have 3 stores in the area, and I will be 2 years old this may.
