I'm looking for a cleaner to remove wax from the black plastic areas, ie.hood panel, door handles, etc. I have used Mothers Back to Black creme, but only hides it for awhile then after it wears or washes off the wax is still there.

Scotch-Brite Multi-Purpose no scratch scrub sponge. Soak it and away you go.

and peanut oil if you don't have an allergy to it.

Try Eagle Products, Wet spray. I've used it before and it disolves the wax easily. Available at most automotive stores, e.g., Advace Auto Parts, Pep Boys, etc.

I tryed pledge worked ok but after a while wax marks came back slightly.I used the old toothbrush also to scrub the pledge in. You have to take your time waxing not to get it on the black.
Does the magic eraser work ?.I havent used one at all I've heared It works well for other things.

I'm talking about Wipe & Shine Quick Detailing Spray......used to be called Wet One by Eagle One products. It's cheap, you can buy it almost anywhere and you don't have to pay shipping and most importantly -it works!

MR. CLEAN MAGIC SPONGES!!!!!

Make sure you rinse well afterward to remove any residue because is will dry and leave a haze. Best solution to the problem that i have ever used.

WD 40 cleans and shines the plastic nicely . Been using it for years on my other rigs . put it onto paper towel and clean away .

best thing i have used is creamy peanutbutter a little on a rag and rub it in, should take care of wax residue. hard to believe but it works

Peanut butter works. It's the peanut oil that soaks into the plastic and removed the wax. Has to be all natural and creamy.
