Should GM deny warranty claims if we break something while off roading our H2's? They encourage us to off road the H2, why not pay up.
GM has built and promoted the H2, "Like Nothing Else", advertising the H2 as a go anywhere off road vehicle, even demonstrating to buyers the ability of this vehicle. The media as been flooded with commercials showing us the H2 is unstoppable. Is this an illusion?
It appears GM has given us a great off road vehicle, demonstrated it's ability in a variety of terrain, promoted those same abilities through extensive media coverage, sponsored jamborees promoting off road use. But, if you break while doing some of things you've learned, repairs may not be covered under your warranty. GM will probably repair many off road mishaps...as the result of their advertising, "Like nothing Else". http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
GM does the Corvette Z06 the same way. They give you a video, in addition to owners manual, on how to set you car up for racing. But, don't expect GM to ante up if you break something while competing. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
I've heard some of the Rubicon owners saying, Jeep wouldn't repair anything that breaks off road.
