So after the Paragon trip I had to get the caked on mud off. After 5 1/2 hours at the dealer I finally got it back.

Did miss a few spots underneath, but I can't really complain too much.

There was dry mud all in this area from our feet.

Last pic. You know how mud can get up in this area.

Again, he missed a few places, but a pretty good job overall. I'm pleased. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

With the proper application of currency, you can accomplish almost anything.

Sweeeeet! You might need a spare set of mud tires if you're gonna keep that up!
Doesn't it feel like you just took a shower when you look at that clean rig?

Hey KenP,

Your undercarriage looks Awesome compared to the amount of rust mine has. Have you painted it recently, or are you one of the lucky ones WITHOUT TONS OF RUST!! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

BTW: SwEeT COLOR http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Ken:

Good looking---I do not think I ever saw your H2 before. I have some unanswered PM's to you.

As far as rust---I go to my H2 dealer a fair amount and see the H2s rusting away on the lot! GM should be ashamed to send them that way.

My two came with no rust--maybe just lucky and then I just maintained them.

Ken,

Looks great! Does you dealership have the drive-in tank? I call it a Jacuzzi. It's a 10 inch deep tub where you drive onto. It has multiple pressure nozzels that move around as the water is running through the bottom carrying the dirt away. I parked mine on that for 30 minutes and it was like new. $20. But true, they can never get everything.

Thanks for the compliments. The guy did a very nice job and it was well worth it. Would you believe that is the first wax job the truck has ever had? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Dennis, no on the cleaner, but that would be cool. However, they just moved into their new building and put a lift in the drive through. I was telling a couple guys there it would be great for cleaning undercarriages.

Bob, never painted. But there is some rust up there. I just didn't tilt the camera that far up. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Who says shiney trucks can't get dirty?! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Lookin' good Kenya! I had mine done yesterday too. Looks better than the day I picked it up. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

No rust here either. The VA trucks must be better. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Mine was $190 http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif Although these guys came to the house and did it. 2 guys, 4 hours. Very happy with the job they did. All the pinstripes are gone!

Exterior:
Multi-step process...body and wheels hand washed, bugs and tar are removed from the vehicle, exterior is clayed to remove surface contaminates, paint is safely polished to remove swirl marks and minor scratches, Menzerna wax is hand applied to protect the paint and give the finish a better than new shine, exterior trim and tires dressed, windows cleaned, door jams detailed.

Interior:
Full vacuuming. Carpets and floor mats shampooed, scuff marks removed, vinyl and leather cleaned, seats cleaned, all interior panels detailed, all dirt removed from cracks and crevices, windows cleaned.

Dan,
Did it feel good having all of the dirt removed from your crevices? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif....What you paid seems pretty reasonable for an @ home job with 2 guys, especially if they did a good job....

Ken,
What did they charge you to clean it up?

I did mine on Tuesday. I took it to one of those quarter car washes to get the big stuff off and to spray the undercarriage off. Then I bought it home for a full wash and wax. My undercarriage still looks pretty ****ty.

There's still dirt tucked up there. But it sure looks nice now. Some dirt and mud, but not much.
