Hi! I am new here. On Saturday I picked up my H3. Victory Red, Adventure Package. I have a problem I was hoping someone may be able to solve. I did a search and found some but not enough information so I thought I would post it and see what replies I got. Unfortunately two things were not done when I picked up the vehicle. First the dvd headrest system. That is not the dealers fault. There is a shortage of them. However the bigger problem is the remote start. I opted for the remote start / alarm system. Apparantly they tried to install it before I picked up my vehicle but there was some kind of software glitch giving the installers a problem. They do several of these a day but for some reason they tell me my H3 is haunted. They swapped out the unit for different ones, same results. AFter several attempts they put everything back together and delivered the vehicle with an IOU note to come back. Today I went back at 9AM. They've had it all day and are still having issues. They will need it tomorrow as well. They are trying to resolve the problem but I think they are out of answers. Has anyone experienced anything like this and if so can you please give me a few suggestions to pass on to the dealer/installer? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Tell them to pull EVERYTHING out and restore to original and start again from scratch.
The fact that they do this several times a day and they've swapped several in it's place says there is a wiring issue they can't trace.
If they still can't resolve it, tells you they are inexperienced and full of ****. Go find another dealer or reputable installer.
Good Luck.

I had an aftermarket one installed and have no problems with it at all.

If they are trying to blame it on the Vehicle then I would tell the dealer to find another H3 and swap it out for you. There is no reason why you should have to put up with that kind of inconvenience after buying a new vehicle. If they have not officially delivered it to you then you have a better chance of doing this.

I would like to add one. One that intigrates with the factory alarm. I saw on that you can just hold down the unlock button and it will start. Also there is some other unit that you need for the passlock system. I have been looking, but not sure exactly what I need. Anyone installed one, with luck?
Also I would like to have a window close feature, upon arming the system.

I'm with Dennis on this. Have them pull it ALL out and start fresh, or better yet, get another pro to do the work.
I had a Viper 571xv 2-way remote installed and love it. It tells you if the Start/Lock/Unlock command actually worked or not, somthing you don't get with a standard remote. It replaces the factory remote and controls everything. Highly Recommended!

There are several systems available that work just like that. HOWEVER, they have very limited range and, once you have started the system with the ome remote it will no longer lock/unlock the doors while the truck is running. I would definitely recommend adding one that has its own remotes.
TEAMHEATWAVE, leave that place at once!! The H3 is not a difficult vehicle by any stretch and should not take 2 days to be done correctly (more like 2 hours). I would have them pull they system entirely and get it done elsewhere and the same with the dvd system.
