Here is the way I see it now. We have a person who comes on to the forum and has two issues.
1) He has a Dissociative Personality disorder. As you can see he created something that only a loner would do and they do this to be noticed. They do not want to be alone and left out of everything, may have been mommy did not cuddle him enough and or dad shyed him off but something is wrong here.. This is an attention getter for him and as you can see it works...
2) He also has a Projective Personality disorder in which they project certain feeling via their art, speech, actions etc to get, you guessed more attention... People do things all the time to get noticed or not noticed and get people to look at them or vice versa...

I see someone who may have issues and needs reassurance and "inspiration" from others that he is ok and is liked. Well if you look at this forum posting on this topic alone you will see this guy feels liked and so he comes back to see "how well" he is liked and how he can stir things up even more so that more topics and replied will be made to his post. You see the more attention he can draw to himself the more he knows people are talking about him and not something that they should be and he needs to feel this for his very "being" to be validated. Without this he is powerless and for a lack of better terms, NOTHING. So you see as we keep posting we continue to feed an ego that is in dire need of attention, lacks self esteem and is trying to desperately seek it out from others. Many times this is why people go into business to create and help others. They feel the need to be placed high on a pedestal and adorned or valued for what they think they are. When in reality, they are nothing more than a figment of their own imagination.. So Roadsurfer, For all this lovely info, you are welcome. See a pattern here man? I thought so.....

It can be a prime sign but there are other setting issues and time lines involved with low self esteem. You can not just say that one has this condition without all the proper diagnosis and evaluation. But from this thread as it has progressed, I can tell you. What you have seen here is a prime example. I would not go so far as to claim complete and utter stupidity, I mean some fore thought and cognitive skills did go it to building this thing and the tearing up of a perfectly good H2.. So I would not say stupidity... Maybe lack of direction and loss of realistic ideas is more like it....

I didn't look any further (I have no experience with custom autos so that's how I would have searched). I also searched for custom autos in the Sacramento Yellow Pages and RoadSurfer was not listed so I searched directly for roadsurfer and it still didn't come up. Just some basic stuff you might want to take a look at.

DRTYFN I think that the modifications look nice. Others may think that it is a disgrace to Hummers, but really I think they are angry because it makes them feel like their "stock" H2's aren't the best SUV's out there anymore. I say if you have the money, go for it...whatever makes you happy.

If you don't like what people do to THEIR hummers, big deal..get over it. I think that the heavy modifications look nice, but I definitely don't think I would ever do something like that if I had the money.

Lower_Than_Normal, that picture actually shows how safe the H2 is. One of the main purposes of the front end of the car is to Crunch...that is why when they rate cars by safety they sometimes call the crash test the "Crunch test". If you look at the picture closely you can notice that the passenger section did not crunch at all. The person in the H2 was probably more likely to survive than the person in the truck. If you see where I am getting, Hummer did a great job of making the H2 a safe beast.

I gotta say, while it's not my cup of tea, I can appreciate what you have done to create something unique and exceptional in it's execution of what was intended. I thoroughly enjoy when someone looks at something in a manner different than I would do so myself. After all, how boring would the world be if everything produced was only done as I would have it!!

Not all art, or 4x4's(how odd a comparison is that!), are exactly what I would imagine for myself. However, I can appreciate something even if it is not suitable to my individual taste, so long as it is well executed, which is clearly the case here.

Keep it goin man, the only reason we have the H2 is because someone was willing to challenge the status quo. Though I would not purchase the final product myself I can certainly appreciate what you have done to make your H2 stand out from the rest.

Ultimately, the HUMdeVille is an exercise in form AND function...Basically, the premise was to integrate the two "elite" domestic marques....H2 and Escalade....and I really, really didnt like the "afterthought" way that GM finished off the H2 front end...

At any rate, it all works..the hood hinges and fastens on the stock H2 hinges and clamps....

As I have said in previous posts. If someone would have paid my shop to build humdeville I would have done it in a second. The work looks good in pictures even though the vehicle is not to my taste.

I have to make this observation. Before you finished humdeville you didn't post much around here. You posted a good bit for a while. Now you must spend most of day posting and figuring out what to post. It would seem that would be hard to do if your shop was busy with other projects. What is your shop working on now?

Go ahead and bash the Dumb Ass Red Neck from Alabama. It will be thanksgiving day before I can respond back. My shop has more work than we can handle.
