So my inside guy at Car Toys, Jon, says he will make himself available for a day or two (outside of work) for anyone looking to get work done before we go to Moab. I know a bunch of folks will need CB's, sat radio, off road lights, dual battery set ups, winch wiring, stereos, DVD and monitors, phone kits, etc. He will do this at a much lower price than you could get at his store, too. Bring your own equipment or not. He is VERY skilled and has a ton of off-road solutions to prevent rattles, etc.

tell him i want:
JL Audio Stealthbox for the Escalade EXT/Avalanche.
JL Audio 500/1 to power it
All Installed with a bass knob.
I was quoted in cali 1800 for product and 100 for install. But that was all retail and from a shop. Since the truck is here in CO i need someone competent here to do it and not rip me.
Tell him ill pay him $1800 for parts and his labor, and I will help him with the install.

<TD class=cutline>Being stupid can have consequences, as Illiana Hummer Club member Roberto Rios of Crete found out after running aground and getting wedged against a tree on Friday while trying to follow more experienced Hummer owners through the Badlands Off-Road Park in Attica, Ind. The group was at the park to search for trails and clear paths in preparation for the Hummer Club's national event in May.</TD></TR></table>

He says he can do it at that price, but would rather build you a wood box instead of the plastic one.

Anything you can post about solving the rattles would be greatly appreciated by those of us on the other side of the country who can't make it over there. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

they all do. but i dont wanna be hacking up the truck. with that jl stealthbox i keep my fold down midgate and can still throw crap in the back. with all the wood work inside i can only fit like 2 10in subs barely and they require a lot of fiberglass.
ask him when he has time to do it? i know it takes a couple days to get that stealthbox let me know. also about that alarm too. but i can get the 1800 whenever

Dave,
Call me and I will get you the guys number. He is happy to let you use the plastic box, he just wouldn't recommend it.
